Paige Spiranac brought the fire and a little drama to the opening day of the $1 million Internet Invitational at Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri.

The social media star revealed on X that her playing partner, Roger Steele, had some “unresolved beef” with fellow YouTube golfer Jake Adams, and the tension showed throughout their match.
Steele was seen mocking Adams for misreading a putt and griping about a conceded one “under his breath,” leading Spiranac to clarify what was really going on.

“Roger and Jake Adams had unresolved beef so Roger was more fired up than normal in that match — for good reason,” Spiranac wrote Thursday night.
One fan chimed in that Steele “talked to him like a child,” calling it disrespectful. Spiranac replied, “Roger was fired up over something Jake did.”
She even drew some attention herself after cameras caught her complaining about how long Adams stood over a shot.
“I literally wasn’t (being a jackass),” she said. “I made one comment and then apologized on the green. It’s on camera. Then kept complimenting his shots.”

Despite the friction, Spiranac and Steele came out on top, winning their nine-hole alternate-shot match to help their Orange Team advance with a 13½-10½ victory.
Steele later tried to downplay things, saying, “Jake is a homie and our beef is an old joke. It’s just how we talk when we play. I’ll hold the L on that one though.”

The tournament, backed by Dave Portnoy and run by Barstool Sports and Bob Does Sports, features 48 of YouTube’s biggest golf personalities battling for a $1 million prize.
But the Steele-Adams tension wasn’t the only headline. Influencer Luke Kwon reportedly slept through his first-round tee time, drawing Portnoy’s fury and costing his Pink Team a crucial point.

The pre-recorded event will air over the next two weeks, and if Day 1 was any indication, Paige isn’t the only one adding spice to the fairway.
