waste bunker can cause damage on your clubs , i don’t like them for that
Ridiculously hard just for the sake of being ridiculous. Royal New Kent (near Richmond, VA) is equally ridiculous. That said, both are fun play once you accept the fact you’ll have at least two snowmen on your card. 81 was low gross in the member-guest one year at Royal New Kent. 😂
I’ve played this place. Got family in Sanford. I don’t think I’ve ever had a golf course humiliate me but this one did. I’m a 7 handicap. Shot 120 😮 Place will eat your lunch and you’ll be late for dinner.

Never played axe cliff?…. all but 6 ish are blinds one bell and a hell of a lot of balls, oh and don't drop on the beaches there nudist 😅 see you in the club house

Oh my goodness!!! TBR, I miss you. We lived in Pinehurst, NC and of the courses in our awesome little town, TBR was top 5. ❤❤❤
Course blows.
I've played Tobacco Road a few times, but not in a few years. Very nice course. They've raised their prices. Now $280. Not worth $280.

Jesus Christ this place is $280-300 a round for one player. I am not that good at golf so this place isn’t for me. But, thought I’d let you scratch golfer know, $300 for a round of 18. I like to go golfing with my friends after 50 hours of hard ass work as a mechanic and drink beer, drive a cart all stupid, and let people play through me. This course would be cool if I was a square
That had better be in NC. Stealing our tobacco road wouldn't be cool if not.
Was not a big fan. All the tee markers look alike (played hybrid tees), the GPS on your cart beeps every 2 seconds going 5 mph on some holes. There are a few good holes, but play Pine Needles instead for the same price. 100x better course.

Love the waste area. Blind shots I hate. 1 or 2 a course ok. 5 os starting to get stupid.

I’ve read complaints and negative reviews about this course blah blah blah, and I just want to say, if you don’t absolutely love this experience, it’s your problem. The course is a GEM, and if I could replay any course, this would certainly be in the convo. For those debating, do it.

I respect Strantz and many of his designs are excellent. This one however, is a love it/hate it. I hate it.
