When it comes to carry distance, spin, and overall performance, there’s almost no difference between these two sets. So, if you’re looking for more distance, you probably won’t find it. I can’t stress this enough. These irons won’t magically hit the ball farther than your current clubs just because they’re Takamo. Sure, if your existing irons are older or have weaker lofts, you might see a little extra carry, but for most players with mid to newer sets, the distances are going to be very similar. If distance is what you really need, then the 101 could be the better option. So, the real question isn’t which one goes farther, it’s which one fits your swing, your feel, and your game. That feedback helps me know when I’ve hit it right and lets me repeat that feel on the next swing. So, for my game, the Tacoma 2011 is the better fit.
