From his meteoric rise as the youngest MVP in NBA history during the 2011 season—where he averaged 25.0 PPG, 7.7 APG, and electrified fans with jaw-dropping quickness and fearless drives—to becoming a global fan favorite, this tribute captures it all. 1. If only he wouldn’t have been injured, that man was special and anyone who hates on him needs to get a brain scan cause something ain’t right upstairs

  2. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think his style of play contributed to his injuries. He seemed a little reckless with his athleticism.

  3. Back then he was so special, sucks that injuries fucked up his career. Too sad that his body can't keep up to his unhumane skill and talent😢

  4. D Rose gave all of Chicago a reason to be happy and is still the only player I’ve seen make entire stadiums ‘oh and ah’

  5. Stop with the, “WHAT IF?”… There was no question about Rose. It’s “WHAT IT WOULD’VE BEEN”.

  6. Every second he was on the court you were glued to the tv he had that it factor you just had to be there

  7. I grew up and old with this legend, share the same birth of year. It was a honour to see such a majestic basketball. 1of1

  8. Some people are way too unstoppable. Not because they're so dominant or anything. But simply because they're just having fun.

  9. Man it hurts me that I guy that good never achieved his full potential because of injuries. Damn he was at another level.

  10. If only he didnt get injured, the Bulls would have several chances of winning a championship. But its going to be hard. The 2010s basketball is filled with athletic and competitive players like Kobe, Dirk, LBJ, Spurs trio, Paul George, etc.

But in the East alone, several series of East finals between Heat and Bulls would be nice.

  11. people don't realize no one will ever play like derrick rose ever again, by intention. "If he didn't get injured" is a fairytale bc he was always bound to get injured. His style isnt compatible w longevity. The human body just isn't built for what he was doing.

  12. Everytime I see that bucks clip remember watching it live d rose was insane he never really reached his prime but was still insane
