Southwest Florida has unveiled new golf courses, pickleball spots, and waterfront attractions for the 2025-2026 season. Options span from exclusive championship layouts to easy walking courses that families can enjoy across the area.
Kinsale Golf Club in North Naples debuted last fall. Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner designed it — the same duo behind Winged Foot Golf Club and Pinehurst No. 4.
Former PGA pro Raymond Floyd designed Saltleaf Golf Preserve, which showcases native plants like cabbage palms, muhly grass, and dune sunflowers. Webbs Reserve Golf Club opened last fall in Babcock Ranch as a semi-private location with 20 lakes.
The Clutch opened in May at South Seas Resort on Captiva. It’s a nine-hole walking course that families can tackle together. The Gate Golf Club will finish its greens, lit driving range, putting green, and clubhouse restaurant this spring in Naples.
Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, plans to finish The Gardens in 2026, designed by Tom Fazio. The Sanctuary Golf and Social Club will arrive in Bonita Springs late next year with Trackman simulations.
The Bayshore Arts District added a 1,350-foot elevated boardwalk this season. It winds through wetlands to Sugden Regional Park and connects with trails around Lake Avalon.
Ace Pickleball Club opened in Fort Myers with 12 indoor courts. The Picklr will open a 37,000-square-foot facility in Naples with 15 courts, plus clinics and events. Core Reform will open this winter in Naples, bringing the Lagree Method to the area.
Legacy Harbour Marina will reopen on the Caloosahatchee River in early 2026 with 131 slips and storm-resistant infrastructure. Hurricane Ian wiped out the Fort Myers marina. FEMA pledged $11.4 million in September to help rebuild Naples Pier, though permits and a finalized design are needed before work begins.
Seafair launched Crystal Grandeur — a 12,000-square-foot mega yacht that can host up to 600 guests.
Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs opened new exhibits for its 90th anniversary. A new Otter Grotto and baby alligator exhibit opened earlier this year. Plans include a flamingo night house and habitats for sloths and kinkajous.
