[Music] [Music] [Music] Hey guys, welcome back to Modern Golf. I hope you’re having a great day and even better week. Today we’re taking I want to say a sneak peek cuz they’re out, but maybe one of the first looks on social media at the brand new Painter Sport LX. I want to give you all of our feedback from stability to comfortability um to sizing, colorways, and really the best part is the price point. So stay tuned for this very short review of the Painter Sport LX. So if you’re unfamiliar with Painter, Painter’s been around for a number of years. We have adored Painter in the last couple years. Uh they’ve exploded. They were kind of a niche shoe. Uh and now they’ve really been expanded. You see Justin Rose and a lot of guys on tour. Uh Jason Day and a number of people wearing these. Phil Mickelson had these on uh earlier in the year. This is their newest version. This is the Sport Classic LX. This is a very cool looking shoe. Kind of a retro vibes. And I have both my cameras going here cuz I know a lot of you guys want close-ups of these. Uh kind of a retro looking shoe. I think they’re aimed right at the Jordan 1 Low. Um they’ll tell you it’s just a a kind of a sport looking shoe. I want to talk about the color way first. There’s two colorways. Um, this white and bone, I don’t know what they’re considering white. This is like an off-white. Uh, and I’ll put pictures up of the other painter shoes we have. So, this is kind of an off-white in comparison to a bright bright shiny white. Goes very good with my outfit today. Uh, but if you’re looking for kind of a not super bright white shoe, uh, like my homeboy Greg who never likes to clean his golf shoes, this is probably a good option. Uh, but let’s talk about details. Comfortability, sizing, stability. First, let’s talk about sizing. So, for me, this shoe ran a little wide and a little long. I don’t know if it’s on a different last. It feels that way, but I’m normally a 9 and 1/2. Um, and after wearing these a couple times, I wish I would have gone down to a nine. Um, again, it’s a little wide, a little long, and and you can see when I wear them, it gets a little I have to tighten these up. It gets a little compressed because it’s a little wider for me. So, my suggestion, again, take it for what you want. I would go down half a size. Let’s talk about price point now. $159. Incredible price point for this shoe. You can buy these directly from Painter. At any rate, this is an unbiased review as you guys know. So, I want to give you a quick tour of this shoe and then we’ll talk about stability and comfortability and all that stuff. So, besides sizing, um, let’s talk about the leather. So, it has a super soft and if you guys watched our best things in October or our new things in October, we talked about this leather. This leather is the most soft is the softest leather I have seen in a painter golf shoe probably ever. Uh, it reminds me of the Echo Yak leather. Very soft. Has this kind of off-white um they call it bone. It’s a kind of a light gray pebble grain leather. And we talked about very minimal logos here. I mean, that’s it for the logos, which I am a fan of. does have the same nitro material uh in the cushioning system that they used in the past. Uh the painter logo here in the back. The only thing I don’t love is this fabric um piece in here, but again, I I’ll get over it. Same thing with the sock liner and the Achilles pad. Very cushioned. Again, not elite cushioning, but very good cushioning. And then as we turn this shoe around, again, it reminds me of a little bit of some Jordans back in the day. U but overall, really like the design. and really like the low-key, very low branded painter golf shoes, which which this is what they’re known for really. Uh very good golf shoes. Let’s talk about stability and traction. Uh still low wet from when I wore them yesterday. Stability was really really good on these. Um traction is really really good on these. Uh painter does something very differently than the masses. For some reason, I can wear a painter soft spike shoe and really rarely slip where I played two weeks ago, slipped and thought I tore my ACL. Literally that bad. And I won’t tell you the shoe brand, but there is a difference between soft spike shoes. And if you can see on these, I don’t know if I can pick it up my camera or not or any of my cameras. These are deeper soft spikes. These aren’t little nubs. These are very deep soft spikes. But again, so to wrap up, would I recommend this shoe? 100%. I would say first go down a half a size. Again, just my suggestion you may find. And if you have a wider foot, go your normal size. If you have a narrowish, not narrow, but narrow-ish foot like I do, I had to go down half a size. I should have gone down half a size. These are nine and a halfs. If I had to do this over again, I would get go to a nine. But again, just my suggestion. Crazy good golf shoe. Uh, Painter is no dummy. They are filling all these price points. $159 golf shoe. With our discount, you can get it for 140 something. Incredible, incredible value. Again, waterproof. Lastly, I’ll talk about cushioning. very cushion as you are known as Painter is known for. I would say with this material, these are some of the softest, most pliable golf shoes I have worn. Really, really good golf shoes. And again, for the $140ome dollars with the price point and the or $140 with the discount at a price point, these are hard to beat. Um, so again, I love these shoes. I think they’re very good. My only suggestion would be to go down half a size. Um, at some point, probably the next week, I’ll order the other colorway in a nine. Um, and then hopefully we’ll kind of report back. The other thing I know some of you reached out to me and I will wrap up. I promise. Um, I will talk to Painter and ask them why they only start their sizing in nines. I don’t know. Uh, maybe they feel like there’s no eight and a halfs or seven and a halfs out there. I had a number of you guys the last week ask me why can I only get a painter starting in a nine. I will find out uh and get back to you guys. So anyway, but we love the new sport classic. Again, couple colorways. Crazy good golf shoe. I do not think you guys will be disappointed in this whatsoever. Another great golf shoe by Painter.
