[Music] Next on the tea, four time PGA Tour winner C. Woo Kim [Music] Sioo. Yeah, we’re here hitting some Triple Diamonds. Elite Triple Diamond. Mhm. You’ve been in Triple Diamond for a majority of the years that we’ve had a model in Triple Diamond. Mhm. This year we made a big change with the face, the 10X face. We’re creating a much tighter spin wheel high to low. As you’ve transitioned through these different drivers over the years, what have you found with Elite Triple Diamond that you’ve liked the most? I think especially uh spin rate like used to be if I hitting like Swiss part or little hill or toe a little bit like change spin rate. But this this new LED is like whatever like high on the toe, low low on the heel or towy especially every time like hitting good or bad like spin rate is pretty accurate. Yeah. And what does that do for you on a golf course? Like if you if you know you have a driver now that produces a really tight spin window, how does that help you prepare for a drive on a hole if there’s like bunkers or dog legs? Yeah. So even if I hit it like gust like straight to the straight straight my face especially like used to be trying to hit different shot but now I don’t have to hit it like different shot so I can hit it like still trying to same shot but like spin rate’s really consistent. So that’s why I like to hit it like even if hit it low or high shot I don’t have to worry about like floating like floating right. Mhm. So, the one thing I’ve always noticed about you, I’ve watched you hit a lot of drivers over the years and were always on a Trackman or a foresight and I don’t think there’s any player on tour that puts up a 0.0 spin axis more than you do. So, you’ve always been extremely straight. So, with Elite, going back to we talked about spin, how the 10X face has kept you in a much tighter window. Tell me about control like when you do hit that little toe or heel ball because I’ve always noticed like straight straight straight 0.0 and you’ll be like, “Oh, that was a little toe. has a little heel. Tell tell me about this driver on those m hits in terms of curve laterally. What have you seen? So, usually like if I’m hitting like draw or fit that kind of shot like worry about like if I’m hitting toe, if I’m hitting hill like something’s going to didn’t curve as much and or curve a lot. So, but this this one like I spin always consistent so I can hit it like if I want to draw hit it. So, I can trust it. I can hit a toe or heel. Still can draw it or fade. I want to hit like sometimes I miss hit a lot of hill shot but still kind of accuracy like consistent spin so I can trust it so I can go for the whatever I want. Let’s see a few swings out of you. 71 2700 kind of a cutter against the wind. Mhm. Show me one that turns over. I want to see what your spin window is. That was nice draw. 2400 on the draw. 71 ball speed. Again, the one thing we’ve seen with this driver is like guys can maneuver it left and right and the windows fairly tight. Yeah. And again, that just makes it easier for you guys to plot carries. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. Sure. On the golf course this week, we’re at a a place you’ve had some success before. Um, let’s pick out a hole on the golf course. What’s a good driving hole for you? One where you really got to buckle in and hit a very controlled shape. I think number 18. 18. Yeah, especially driver. Yeah, driver. During the pressure and I have to control and little draw. So, all right. Let’s see. 18. We got a one shot lead. So, make sure not over hook. So little low tea uh left tree straight line winner winner. I think that is perfect. Now we just need Manny to give us a good number and we’re winning this thing. So again 171 ball speed. That’s what I love. M maneuvering both ways. Ball speed staying right around that 171 which is pretty uh pretty good for a Monday morning. Yeah, used to be hit draw like sometimes I see a lot of 18 or 1900, but this one like always been 23 24. Perfect. Yeah, it makes it a lot easier to control when when you’re shaping it. Uh, do you have a fair finder or anything where you you ever drop the flight and kind of squeeze one? Yes. So, and talk about how you do it. I want to hear like what you what you do in your setup or I used to be I have like super weak grip. So I used to be when I hit miss shot like hill miss floating right. So if I’m looking for like fairway finder that’s my grip is short and then just hit a low shot without spin. So nice little low fade. Ball speed came down just a hair. Spin stayed down. The other half of this is, you know, we’ve talked about spins and and what the driver’s done for you, but you’ve you’ve been in a Chrome Tour Golf Ball for a while now. I know you we experimented in Chrome Tour X in the beginning of the year, but found it was spinning a little too much with the irons. Why are you in Chrome Tour golf ball? What has that golf ball done for you? So, I used to be it’s same thing like used to be like before like I want a more consistent like spin. So that’s why I’m looking all the test and all the different ball but to axis more gives me more trust on the golf course. So more consistence and then yeah consistent spin is the I think most important thing. Yeah. And even going from like away from drivers like around the greens you know with your irons. So, do you see the Chrome Tour you’re in now versus the Chrome Tour X that we did test for what did you play for like two three weeks at the beginning of the year? Yeah. And then went back to the Chrome Tour which you played all like last couple years. Yeah. So, what Tell me about around the greens what that ball does for you. I think the kind of like long long games little low spin and then especially it’s weird like around the green supposed to be like not spin much cuz the long long ones spin low but this one like around the green like magic like still I can hit it like super nippy spinner so that’s what I like it like long play or around the green everything’s I like it. Yeah, it’s the same thing. He says the same thing. It’s just amazing that you can have a ball that you can keep the spin down so much with irons and full wedges, but then when you’re around the greens, you can absolutely hit the low zipper on command. I think that’s huge advantage. Yeah, it is an advantage. Tell me about looks of drivers. Like you you’ve you’ve seen when we come test with you in the offseason, we’ll show you pretty much everything, but you’ve always gravitated towards that triple diamond shape. What is it about that shape that that you’re attracted to? This one looks looks to me a little more around. So when I set up feel like a more comfortable like shaft feels makes more a little shorter. Okay. Especially same same length. Yeah. So that’s what I like the setup like feel more comfortable looks like a threeoot length. So makes me more I can trust it. So that’s what I like it. So, and then looks more a little upright, I think. So, that makes more I can like trust the shot. I don’t have to worry about any going right. [Music] Who’s he? What’s up? Nice little low stinger. Let’s see it. You got to show him in with a low stinger since he’s calling it out. He He wants to see it. [Music] Oh. See you. So, we’ve played around with a lot of different shots. We’ve we’ve hit some low, we’ve hit some higher bombs, but again, like that window of speed like you’re check down, fairway finder, stinger, you’re still at 68 69 ball speed. So, I think that’s the mark of a good driver where you can you keep speed up, but you can you have that ability to drop the flight down when you need to and hit the fairway finder. Yeah, it’s crazy. Like when I hit it like stinger used to be like almost 30 35 spin like it was still inside a 3,000 less than 3,000. So even if you hit it down or up kind of it’s hard to be like consistent spin- wise but this is kind of like small window. So it just I love it. All right. So one of my favorite people that ever played on the PJ tour once he was asked you could probably figure out who this player is. He was asked, “How do you pick up five more miles an hour of ball speed on the course?” Like, if you want to, you get on a hole, it’s downwind, and you need five more extra yards. And his quick answer was, I usually just three putt the hole before. So, for you, you need five more miles. You got to pump one. What are we going to do here? I think just Yeah, of course, I need a mat. I got to piss myself. And then just just little faster back swing, okay, than usual. And then all the fire legs. And I’m going to be a little hill up during the back swing. So I’ll show you. Boom. 75. Not quite five, but I’ll give it to you. Four is pretty good, too. I’ll tell you what, buddy. I’m excited to watch you play this week. the driver, the ball, everything’s to be seems to be really dialed in. So, let’s get out there and make some money. Thank you. Thanks, Johnny.
