With just three tournaments left in the 2025 schedule after this week at the Bank of Utah Championship, every shot and every FedExCup point counts even more than usual. The field is chock-full of proven winners, up-and-coming stars and more as they take on the unique Black Desert Resort, which was cut through a lava field. Alex Noren is the top-ranked golfer teeing it up in Utah. The Swede won twice this summer on the DP World Tour and finished tied for 27th in Japan after joining Luke Donald’s leadership squad as a vice captain for the winning European Team at the Ryder Cup. Matt McCarty will defend his title in Utah after his breakthrough TOUR title a year ago. McCarty’s best finish of the season was a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and comes into his title defense off a T14 in Japan, where he shot an incredible final-round 60 – which featured a run of eight birdies in a row. Joining them are other star players such as Australia’s Jason Day, Aldrich Potgieter, and Billy Horschel.

[Music] A life-changing Sunday for 23-year-old Michael Brennan who’s trying to close out his first win on the PGA Tour in just his third start. George Zik is Johnson Wagner. Brennan the 54 hole leader and keeping it going on the third coming off a birdie on two which he’d made two doubles on previously. Eight under through his last 12 holes yesterday and he picked up right where he left off. Couple holes later still rolling it. Just mind blown by the way he drives it, by the way he chips it, by the way he putts it. His entire game is so solid right now. Brennan a 20 under par. Rico Hoey among the chasers trying to at least stay within shouting distance. Same hole at five. Had a great day on the greens yesterday and he’s going to need to make all of these if he’s going to be able to chase down Brennan. Ball just below his feet here. Absolutely perfect playing conditions once again just like yesterday. Not a breath of wind right now. Go. Well, this is an aggressive shot. If it’s enough, this could be really good. Oh, and it is. That had shades of Tiger Woods Canadian. Open 2000 on 18 to that back right flag. That ball came in so high and soft. Now it’s downhill. Going to move from his left to right. For it to break right. Didn’t move much. Yeah. Gave it a nice chance and really impressed with his putting stroke as well as we watched throughout the day. palms really face each other. His left hand’s just slightly lower. And what that does is it really gives uh your shoulders can be much more square. A lot of times traditional grip, your right shoulder can dip low. Mechanics are just beautiful. Michael Brennan blowing everyone out. Now he’s ahead at 11. Lower. That line was not good. It was thick from 228. It’s just aiming up the left hand side trying to kick it back right towards the flag towards the green. Sorry. on the 11th. A lot to navigate here for Justin Lawler’s birdie putt. I mean, this is like a mini golf putt. It’s going left to right, right to left, up and down. Be good to get this within 4T. Just get it going and see what happens. Rolling out nicely. Oh wow. Lower making it happen. Take another look. Mel described it perfectly. Going left to right and downhill here. And it goes slightly up there, then back downhill, then back uphill. And now the last part of this putt, straight downhill, breaking back from right to left. Looked like birdie the whole way. Of course, Mccardi money. He is definitely comfortable on these putting surfaces. coming in really high. Pretty good line here. Oh, great line. Chance for a potential two- shot swing. Well, he learned a lot from that putt from Bren. That actually ball went back to the right. Hoey buries it. Game on with eight to go. Rico Hoey. Now it’s 150 yards. Wind starting to switch a little bit here. Kind of back into his face. Another aggressive shot. Trying to use that back stop. All right. Quality play, but I mean from 150 yards, that’s about all you can expect. You don’t want to come up too far short. [Music] Ellie for birdie 19 under for the moment. Two back of Brennan is here at Black Desert are amazing. Very rarely see a ball bobble and this is just hugging the ground. Perfect read turning right to left into the dead center of the cup. And I think it’s a very fortunate line going with the grain in the grass and the rough. He’s got plenty of cushion. I think this makes this shot much easier. going with a little bumper. That is just absolutely gorgeous. Got to get a little love to a name there in T5th. Branceer 6663 on the weekend with Brennan being here close. What a response. Bounces and a little check on it. Then let it release. And that’s what he’s done. Too much, Jack. Checked up too much. Yep. Knows the reads, but uh what putt he hasn’t made, he burns the edges. There we go. Yeah. Where Hoe’s ball ended up is not a bad position to try to get it up and down. Birdie here all three days. Flies it on. trying to use maybe that should. This actually possibly could come back on the putting surface coming off that slope off the edge of the green. And it does. Still inching closer. 56 ft 10 in for eagle Brennan. That was easy, easy work. 23 under par, a fourshot lead now as he makes his way off of the drivable and reachable par4. Completely different, wasn’t it? How about a closing eagle at the 18 for Max? Okay, so belief starting to sprout. Oh, what a finish. Well done, Max Homer. Just a horror show of a year, but finishing strong. [Music] Very impressive. Reek for a closing birdie at 18. Ford hoops it. What a week. What a week. So gets him to 16 under right now. A tie for third. He certainly does. And you were right Johnson. 285 yds. This is on a fantastic line. He’s going to feed Silverman in there close on 18. That’s a great up and down and a great week that moves him into that now fiveway tie for third. Justin Lowour to join the group at 16 under. Wow. Nice fight out of him this weekend. Lots of up and downs. Quartering from the right here. Only danger is that lava down the lefth hand side. And this one headed left. Uhoh. Not what he No, you can’t. Right now, the ball is in that lava depression left of the green. Uh he will have a very good option of taking an unplayable playable lie, keeping that point between him and the hole. So that’s not going to be an issue. He’s just going down into that area to identify the ball. I think this is a good time to send your caddy down in to get that ball, Billy Ray. Yeah, this is my ball. Lava rocks aren’t the easiest thing to navigate around Black Desert. Well, he has identified that that is his ball. You’ll be waiting for a rules official there. It is in the grassy area, but um no chance to play from that position there. He’s taking his time going to look at the shot before he even takes the initial drop. All right, we’re going to play. Okay. Draws an okay line. Forced shot to the par five. Oh yeah. So good. Wow. Fall off on the other side, but he played it out to the left. That was beautifully done. That’s exactly what he needed to do. Now the last putt left. Michael Brennan goes from sponsor invite to PGA Tour winner. What a magical week for the Brennan family with his parents on hand. [Music] His dream of playing on the PGA Tour has become a reality here at the Bank of Utah Championship.

That's so cool! Korn Ferry card? Keep it guys. I'm going PGA.
Congratulations Michael Brennan.⛳️
Mini Golf Putt. Love it. Congratulations to MB! PGA tour winner.
Why do you put the winners picture on the thumbnail so it ruins the suspense of who wins the tournament? I’ll never understand it.
He deserves his win but why was he allowed to replace his ball at 18 ? Surely he must finish the hole with the same ball that he recovered from the pit. ?
Lets go MAX!!!!
so random NOTHING has shades of Tiger 2000….
However, congrats to the newest bomber….cool to see.
Nobody needs an official to take an unplayable. Nice win
Excellent golf, great venue, lousy commentators
I like how they kept mentioning all over the net that he was a sponsor exemption … Jordan spieth is a sponsor exemption at like 10 events a year , so I guess he should be winning more
i dout he ever has a win with a stacked field, prob the last time u hear his name until the end of next season wen all the big dogs are done again
