I got a fun one here today. This is the Maltby DRT line of wedges. These have some of the most interesting technology that you’ll find in a wedge. All for a price that you’d probably have to pinch yourself and think that you were dreaming because a head is $69 and fully built. You can get this wedge for $79 on golfworks.com. All right, one of the hardest shots in golf is what we’re going to try to attempt right here. I’ve got to cover a massive bunker and I’m shortsighted. There’s not a lot of green to work with. So, I’ve got to land it somewhere between the bunker and the hole. On the apron would probably be ideal for this shot. I’m going to open up the 56° wedge, and I’m going to swing right underneath the ball. Hopefully, with some nice quick hands. Oh my gosh, that is nearly perfect execution. And I’d like to leave it just a little left of that spot. But as terms of how far I flew it, that was that was special. Oh my gosh. Because of a little bit of a way this green is sloped, they roll out just a little bit more. But I’m very happy with that. That might be the best of the bunch. Really nice that with this particular wedge grind, it’s very versatile. So, I can open it up for this shot. And this wouldn’t even be the club I would normally use. I’d normally be using a 58° wedge, but I’m opening up this 56 pretty wide. It’s sliding under perfectly. And that is four shots executed as good as I could possibly do. So, for one of the hardest golf shots I would potentially face out on this golf course, this thing came out smelling like a rose. As far as I’m concerned, you’re not going to find a better wedge on the market for the price. In fact, you could play much worse wedges for double the price these days. These things could be serious contenders to go in a lot of bags this year, including mine.

  1. If you want quality irons & wedges for a great price, you can't beat Maltby. Especially with free loft, lie & length customization. At those prices the overall value is off the charts.

  2. Love the content and that’s a crazy price for a wedge but I wonder the longevity of it. Would be interesting to see how it holds up after a year.

  3. Great job Gabe you have been on fire lately with your reviews. I bought the TS3'S because of your review and my 10 year old Vokey wedges are due for retirement so "thank you", Im going to get these wedges in 60, 56 and 52 I just got to figure out the bounce

  4. What grind were you testing and what do you recommend? I see an S on the end of the DRT. Does that indicate S-Grind or shallow grind?
