Pinehurst, NC – This holiday season, give the golf connoisseur in your life the ultimate gift: the rare opportunity to step into the world of golf course design at the legendary Pinehurst Resort. The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) Foundation presents an exclusive, five-day Design Boot Camp—an immersive, hands-on experience for those who appreciate the artistry and strategy behind the game.

From March 9–13, 2026, a select group of just 16 participants will be welcomed into the inner circle of golf’s most celebrated architects. Guided by nine acclaimed ASGCA past presidents—including Jan Bel Jan, Jeff Blume, Jeff Brauer, Bruce Charlton, Steve Forrest, Dr. Mike Hurdzan, Tom Marzolf, and Damian Pascuzzo—guests will move beyond the fairways and into the creative process itself.

This is not your typical golf getaway. Attendees will study the storied land of the Pinehurst Sandmines, route their own layouts, and bring original hole designs to life under expert mentorship. The experience is further elevated by an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of Pinehurst No. 11, led by the renowned Bill Coore of Coore & Crenshaw Golf Course Architects, offering a rare glimpse into a masterpiece in the making.

Participants will also enjoy rounds on Pinehurst No. 2 and The Cradle, playing alongside their instructors and engaging in spirited discussions about design philosophy, strategy, and the legacy of great golf architecture. Between classroom sessions, on-site exploration, and elegant social gatherings, Design Boot Camp blends the timeless spirit of Pinehurst with the innovation of golf’s visionary minds.

“It’s one thing to read about golf course architecture,” says inaugural attendee Rob Shults, co-founder of Honours Golf. “It’s another to stand on site, draw holes, and see your vision come to life under the guidance of master architects. It’s the ultimate golf trip.”

Participation is $20,000 per person, with $15,000 tax-deductible as a charitable contribution to the ASGCA Foundation (501c3 EIN: 23-7385866). The all-inclusive package features luxury accommodations at the historic Holly Inn, gourmet meals, golf, caddies, gratuities, commemorative gifts, and all instruction and materials.

Enrollment is strictly limited to ensure an intimate, personalized experience. For the discerning golfer who has everything, this is a once-in-a-lifetime gift—an invitation to walk in the footsteps of legends and leave their own mark on the game.
