The 25-year-old Englishman has been one of the stories of the year on the DP World Tour, winning three titles and sitting second on the Race to Dubai standings as the season reaches its climax.
In the space of 12 months, Penge has seen his Official Golf World Ranking rocket from outside the top 400 to his current position of No.29.
His arrival adds even more international firepower to an event that continues to attract the game’s brightest names to Brisbane, including Adam Scott, Joaquin Niemann, Cam Smith, Ryan Fox, Min Woo Lee and defending champion Elvis Smylie.
“2025 has been a huge year for me so far with the three wins, knowing I’m in The Masters and The Open next year at worst, and breaking into the top 50 in the world. There’s certainly some exciting times ahead,” Penge said.
“I’m really excited about coming back to Australia to kick off the 2026 season at Royal Queensland for the BMW Australian PGA Championship.
“I’ve played in Brisbane before. It’s a great city to visit, the course is a good challenge and with Australia’s best players in the field, it’s set to be great event.

 Penge prevails in playoff to capture Spanish Open title
England’s Marco Penge has claimed his third DP World Tour victory of the season, edging compatriot Daniel Brown in a tense playoff to win the Open de España presented by Madrid.
The Australian PGA Championship will again serve as the opening event of the 2025–26 DP World Tour season, with a prize purse of $2.5 million and valuable Race to Dubai and PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit points on offer.
Kirkman said the combination of local and international talent is exactly what makes the championship special.
“Australian golf fans love seeing our best players go head-to-head with some of the biggest names from around the world,” Kirkman said.
“That mix helps to create an awesome atmosphere and with players like Marco in the field, it’s only going to get better.”
