Hey guys, welcome back to Modern Golf. I hope you’re having a great day and even better week. Today we’re talking about one of I would say I mean do I dare say one of my favorite brands in golf and that’s True Linkswear. And so I have kind of adored this brand from afar. I got to meet their team last year at the PGA show. uh tested a number of their shoes with a zero drop and have really have enjoyed everything that these guys have put out from their apparel to their shoes, but then this thing dropped this OG3 Pro High, uh which is like the ultimate weatherbeating golf shoe. And so we’ve tested out, as you can see, it’s still a little dirty. I got rained on uh last week, but wanted to test the shoe out in really the worst conditions and want to give you my absolute and honest feedback of this shoe. So, first let’s talk about sizing, right? So, I have always been a 9 and 1/2 with true links. I went with a 9 and 1/2 in this colorway and it fit perfect. Uh, I had no issues. Um, this shoe looks like a boot and probably acts like a boot to some degree. Um, but plays very pliable. Um, very soft shoe, very comfortable. We’ll get into stability and all the other stuff as well, but really have enjoyed this shoe. This particular color is called Nimbus. It’s like an off-grid. and it almost goes with my outfit. My god, I could have worn this out today. Um, but really like the color. I wasn’t 100% sure when I ordered it. It was that or black as the other color way. I thought, ah, let’s do something different. So, we ordered the Nimbus. I really like this colorway. So, let’s go over the details real quick of this shoe. I want to and I brought my other camera in to kind of show you guys the details cuz I think it’s very important with this shoe. Really, all the shoes, but want to give you the closest look you can get without you seeing them in person. So, let’s talk about this toe cap here first. uh rubbery material, super durable, has this neat little kind of a pattern to it. And you can see the waterproof kind of layer over this. So breathable shoes, but still waterproof. And as we turn this guy, uh grass from last week, uh the very small T for the true links, uh their cushioning system, the word true, which I like. Very cool. I like the way I listen, I’m a big fan of true links. I’m not going to sugarcoat this. I really like what these guys do from everything we talked about it. Um, this mid to dark gray, same rubbery material here. Uh, as you guys can see with this laces, the laces kind of go around. If these laces come undone, I’m probably hosed because I’m not sure how these things exactly go, but really like the way they’ve done them. Uh, pull tab here. Again, this gets into their wonder, which is their cushioning material. And then again, the true zero drop technology. And again, if you haven’t worn zero drop, uh, it takes a few holes to get used to it. And then it’s like you play them and you don’t miss a beat. These are very easy to get on. I know they look like boots, but they’re very stretchy to get on. Again, like this material a lot. Let’s talk about this traction here real quick. They call this and they consider this a soft spike. I’m going to tell you this is not a soft spike. They’re lying to you. This is a considered where there’s not replaceable spikes, but this is the best soft spike for digging in and not slipping that there is in the golf market. Uh I’ve worn the OG3 Pros, Deluxe, and really all of the ones this year. You won’t find a shoe that digs in better than this guy. Uh, for a soft spike, it is incredible. And you can see I’ve worn them a little bit. Um, I’ve worn the spikes a little bit. Crazy crazy good golf shoe. Let’s talk about stability because that’s a question I get asked all the time. Very stable golf shoe. Again, you can see I’m kind of doing this here. Um, very stable. You will not slip in these golf shoes. You will not roll your ankles in these golf shoes. Uh, very very good stable cushioning and we’ll kind of wrap up with cushioning. Very good cushioning. Is this cushioning like a Brooks Glycerin Max shoe? No, it is cushioned. Uh, there is some pad in there. You can feel it. This is not like walking on center blocks. We did the OG3 Pro earlier in the year, the low one. Uh, same cushioning system in that one. Very good. And again, for sizing, we go true to size 9 and a half. They fit fine. I had zero issues with these, thank God. Um, part of the problem when you’re buying golf shoes, especially online, this is not a place where you can find a ton of True Links wear, like in stores. I know there grassroot stores have it in golf courses, but these aren’t the easiest to find. Um, go true to size. You won’t have a problem. They don’t run really narrow. I get that question a lot. They don’t also run wide. Just true to size 9 and 1/2. If you’re a nine and a half and athletic shoe size, get this. You’ll be good. Fantastic golf shoe. Again, I love this shoe. This is the shoe that I’m going to now that we’ve gotten into kind of crappier weather with rain and and it may have rained yesterday and the golf course is a little beat up. This is the shoe I love. Um really good and very good price point. Again, I don’t have any affiliate discount discount with these guys, but if you could follow the links uh that we put up through Dix and Golf Galaxy and whoever sells these, uh we appreciate it. But again, very very solid golf shoes, you will not be disappointed. Again, True Linkear uh put out another great golf shoe this year and they’ve really been rolling them out this year, but really have enjoyed this.
