All right, lads. Welcome back. We have a special one today. I’m playing against arguably probably one of the best wedge players to grace to a golf, Mr. Wesley Brian. What a great intro. Wow. It’s great to have him. What we have set up today is 5 yds to 115 yards, 10 yard increments, and we’re going to each hit a shot. We’re also going to finish out. The lowest score wins. And I’m going to try and beat this guy. I know it’s going to be tough cuz this guy’s a wedgeman. So, we are literally on your property. You’ve got a huge homec course advantage. Looking forward to it. Let’s get right into it. Do you hold out a lot of shots from you? Uh, usually just confirming and making sure our setup’s correct. Five yards. Five yards. Exactly. Okay. Do you want me to go? Uh, yeah. You lead us off and then we’ll alternate on the way back. Alternate shot. Say, perfect. All right. Five yards. I would never use a wedge from here, but because it’s a wedge, it’s a game. It’s a YouTube video. Jason, I’d putt it. That’s a dog. That’s Jimmy. He’s good. He’s a guard dog. So, don’t jump the fence, guys. Please. I doufted it. Straight out the gates. I doufted it. It’s a foot. Yeah, I know. But but because you hold these all the time, it’s going to make it be a little bit harder. To be fair though, we’re playing all of them as par threes, so that’s a tap in bird. And we’re also going to we’re going to leave the golf balls on the green, so weird things can happen the further we go back. And mind you, Wesley’s playing to playing Bridgestone just so that we know. Yes. Do you want me to mark one? No. The nerves of Jason Day’s YouTube channel obviously are too great. All right. Probably the most important shot of your law. Oh, yes. Right. Yeah. Let’s alternate. Yep. Before we get into this video, you got any tips on how to hit off a bent grass? I’ve usually struggled off of I’ve never seen a practice swing that long before in my life from um 15 yards. I mean, it’s a full swing practice swing, it um he’s just straight into it. Never mind. That is just Hey, you want to tap that flag so it disappears? Cam, thanks. Two under confirmed. Good luck, Jason. That That was ridiculous, Wesley. That was so good. I’m hating on my back swing. I wasn’t hating on your back swing. I just said I’ve never seen a back I’ve never seen a practice swing that long before in my life. Let’s Let’s try it out. Definitely not. It’s firing over the green. Wow, Wesley, that was great. Oh my goodness. I thought you taught me, Jason. I hit a little bit hard. All right, next one. Wow, you’re two under already with a tin to go three. Yeah, I mean that’s intimidating. That is That is That is solid. I mean, that’s I I haven’t seen a um a wedge technique or pitching technique like that ever in my life. I mean, I’ve watched you plenty of times, Wes. And that was like thoroughly impressive. Obviously, you haven’t been watching because like I guess when we’ve played together, you’ve kept your eyes off or you would have seen Well, you shot 84 the last time we played. Uh 25 yards here, Jason. Oh, that’s a good shot. Gosh dang it. You’re scaring the hole. The objective though in the is is to hold it, right? Well, yes. I just feel like I’m extremely lucky. So, when mine kind of go near the hole, they just go in. That’s That’s false. That’s true. Wesley, I love your technique. I haven’t watched it this close before. It’s just so super shallow. Like I mean you release a head nice blocked a little bit, but leaving uphill putts moving forward is probably important. All right, we are back to 35 yards. The awkward distance, right? Well, all my back swings are the same, so they really are. Oh, dude. That’s lovely. Just it like the club kicks out nice for you. Got a little blocker up there for you, Jason. It’s okay. I’ll work around it. Oh, flerve that result. That shot did not deserve that. What do you mean? You just made fun of Rough a few minutes ago for having the dirt propel the golf ball and then you do the same thing. Well, I needed I needed to get enough grass between the ball and the club face to come out soft and take some spin off. All right. Sorry, Ruff. Off camera, Dick. Yeah, it’s you were catching both. I know. Well, you just was right there and that’s what we were talking about. It wasn’t the greatest shot, but I got to do whatever I mean, I’m I’m begging. I’m going to do whatever I Mind you, I’m closer. The last shot I got closer than And you He’s been a great host. He actually just door dashed us. Or did you use Uber Eats? Uber, but that wasn’t me. That was Brucey. Ah, Uber Eats to the house. Chipotle. Shout out to J Day. You’re welcome. I even chose to get guacamole. Sorry. Uh that’s that’s that’s what’s that two two bucks. It’s an excessive overcharge for sure on a guacamole they gave you. But why? Why did I do it? Cuz it was your credit card, not mine. Fair enough. All right, Wesley. 45 yards. Yep. Blocked it. Tell you what, you are getting the friendly bounces right now. Home course advantage there, buddy. Don’t blame me. I know that it’s a little firm at the front there. I don’t want to go long. I’d rather have uphill putts. I Now we’re getting to that range. Do I start doing the cut spin theory and have it cross over the hole or What would you do here normally? Uh, cut spin. Sit. I just hammered it. Sit down. That’s a That’s great. That’s still That’s horrible. You just got to downhill right to left. I know. I know. Trust me. I hit it too hard. But you see what I’m talking about? Like I I I feel confident in that shot starting left, cutting and spinning across. You never ever get too cuddy with it. Oh, all the time. Okay. So, what do you do to like to to neutral it out then? Aim further left. So, you’re going to be aiming at the bloody at your house. Yeah. You’re in a little bit potentially. Uh your shot. Yep. first 55 yards. Oh, dude. That’s nice. Quit. Wedgely Brian quit saucing. It’s all right. I’ll take I I’m I’m pleased thus far with where I’ve left all of those golf balls. Solid shots other than my one fat that’s 2 and 1/2 ft from the hole. Yeah. I I awkwardly hate this distance. I just think it’s a I think it’s no man’s land, but we’ll try and do something. Glad that you’re being honest about it. Oh, that’s the worst. Trying that runup approach again. I talked myself into that, didn’t I? I just don’t like it. It’s like it’s in between my 8:00 and a feel shot and I just That’s why I never lay myself up at 55 yards. So, let’s just say you’re laying up. Do you not have the theory of the closer you get it to the hole in the fairway, the higher your make percentage is for for the most? It has to be within 30 yards of the green. So, your your cut off’s 30 yards. Yeah, 30 yards. 30 yards, I’m okay with it. But if it’s 45 55 yards, you you’d prefer 15 over that. Yeah, probably. Wow. I mean, I’m not saying 115, but like I would prefer 75 yards. Okay. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Then a 55. I mean, I guess it really has a better feel from 75 yards. I mean, I could be wrong. I could hit in two two shots. I could I just think like stats would obviously say the closer you get it, the better. Yeah. But what happen placement? Pin placement depending. Yeah. But what happens if you’re just uncomfortable with the shot? Is it my shot? Oh, yeah. You just learn to get comfortable with it. Simple. Just long back swing and then get lucky. I’d uh I’d rather just not have to. I mean, you should probably work on the shot, but I just don’t I Anyways, I’ll have to chip that one in anyways. So, 65. That’s proper. That is a lot of spin. Oh my Bridgestone. Should have should have jammed it in there a little lower. I reckon. And now you don’t have to worry about too much spin, do you? Only when you’re hitting these big cut shots. It’s more It’s more like when I’m spinning it a lot, it’s more of the left to right than the back to front. Gotcha. So, I can get them coming in sideways at times. And especially off of this turf, I’m really wanting to like emphasize the strike and that gets me more on top of it and more cutting. Perfect. I mean, I can try to go for a straighter one here. No, no, no, no. Do do what you need to do to beat me. Okay. See, that’s nice. Spinning too much. Sheesh. So, if Okay. when for you to control your uh your spin there, would you have to try and go for a draw or no? Uh yes. So if I want to take spin off of it, Yeah. when I basically after impact instead of like holding on to it this way, I just roll the hands that way. And then and that that takes spin off of it. It kind of like slings it off the club a little bit. Is like the feel of it like kind of slingshotting out. Does that make sense? Yeah, it makes it makes sense. Do you take spin off through trajectory or just through that technique that you’re talking about and just leaving trajectory the same? Most of the time I will just hit it. So the only time I’m trying to take spin off of it is when it’s into the wind. Yeah. And so when I do that when I actually I swing easier, flight it down lower, roll the hands, and it still flies about the same distance as that hard penetrating one, but it just lands dead instead of with a lot of RPMs. That’s that’s a that’s a shot that I would love to have. Let’s try it here. Let’s try it. 75 yards. Starting to get to where you’re up in the power a little bit. We really got to control the spin. So, I’m going to try and roll it over a little bit. Go. See, that’s lovely control there. I took the spin off. I just didn’t hit it hard enough or draw it enough, which leads me to believe that my technique is pretty poor given that ball didn’t draw. I mean, it’s on the green. You got to got yourself a parted birdie. I’m going to try what you just did. Oh, it’s it’s foolproof to roll the hands to take the spin off. Foolproof. Okay, I’ll try that. Competition seems wild. Good luck. Oh, blocked it. Cam, how was the spin, Cam? Was there any spin on that? He just said, he just turned around and said, “Good shot.” Are you selling right now, Jason? I am trying to I tried your tried your technique actually didn’t mind it. I just needed to turn it over a little bit more. Now we It’s not even necessarily about the turn over, right? It’s turn over like the the wrist like slowly instead of So like if you think about it like around the green if you’re trying to hit like a lower draw that’s running out like you’re you’re going to finish more here when you’re trying to put more spin on it. Your club face is going to end there. So it’s the same thing with the wedges. I can learn. I’m not the best at everything. He He was or still is. Well, no. I I’ll tell you what, we’ve passed that torch on to other people. There’s some The kids these days, they’re so unbelievable. I know they are. They’re ridiculous. They hit a long and straight and Yeah. I’m saying like watching Blades Brown. Yeah. Like I just feel like he he hits wedges better than I do, which is disappointing. He’s a kid. He literally should still be in high school. Well, he’s just turned 18, right? I know. It’s ridiculous. But saying that, like I mean, like I said before, I I’m open to learning. I know that I’m not the best in in in a lot of stats. So when I have someone like him around and I’m I’m happy to learn, but right now I’m getting my butt kicked and I don’t like it. I would keep doing what you’re doing. Look where I am. Look where you’re at. I understand. But like I said, I can always learn from somewhere. So what what is this? 85. 85. Okay. That was nice. Oh, yes. Hit a ball. You hit a ball. And that’s your ball that you chunked is now further away from the hole. It’s all right. It would have just like equally like hit it hit hit the ball away. So, it’s fine. You know what I mean? Yeah. No, it’s a net zero. Cool thing also about this little challenge we’re doing, we’ve had all different lies. Little ups slopes, down slopes, below feet. We got a few downs slopes here coming up. So just always so solidly that that might have been the best feeling one thus far. Did you try to play a cut there? Uh just low low and low and neutralized. Wesley, do you would you recommend if I’m trying to take spin off, would you recommend that I hit it lower? Uh lower some usually will add RPMs of spin. Yeah. But if it comes in like pen a it will So it’ll add RPMs of spin. Yeah. But it will end up closer to your pitch mark. Yeah. If that makes sense. Yeah. So So would you recommend that? Yeah. I mean any honestly anytime you can flight the ball down. Yeah. But really the game with wedges that I found over the years which is not talked about a lot like when you watch is getting the ball to end up and I I don’t do this. So this is nothing that I would do but ending up as close to the pitch mark as possible is how you control distance the best. And so I do that more with like full wedges not with lob wedges because I see things a little more creatively but from anywhere. And that’s with a 4 iron. And and that’s why hitting a high four iron instead of a flat one is an advantage out on the PGA Tour. But just getting the ball to end up as close to the pitch mark as possible should yield better results long term. Yeah. Uh 95 yards. Lob iron still in hand. Exactly what he just said. I think it like went in the pitch mark and then just kind of rolled out of the pitch mark. See how that one was kind of drawing just a little bit. That was that was ideal. 9:00 54. I’m going to pen a this one in. Hopefully it doesn’t spin. So a little bit of spin. What a good golf shot that was. Yeah, little bit of spin, but not too bad. Little dot. Little dot. Daryl dot up there. I’m interested in the putting. Yeah, that’s what that’s obviously going to be what changes. I feel like it’s been pretty close uh on the wedges. Maybe even a slight nod to you. What? Minus one of your shots. Two of my shots. One, one’s long. I forgot about your trial shot. Yep. Huge advantage me actually. You got two outliers. Um, are you playing anything differently off this lie? Cuz we got like a massive Uh, you still got 60? Yeah. I thought you’d hit 60. Uh, I mean unlimited. That’s why I So, I’ve always played a 58. Okay. The 58 I feel like I can open it up to everything that a 60 can do. But then on the back end of wedges, I have uh I can keep this club in my hand for longer as I back up. So, I feel like it’s an advantage for me. So that’s always nice if you can hit all as far as this. Yeah. Um okay. 105 105 off a down slope. Off a down slope. You got 55 still? 55. Yeah. What a dart. Go in. Oh, I’ve been close today of hauling one. Cam said lift it out. Oh, I mean that was good. Yeah, that was a nice flight. I’ll be changing clubs again to a 50 degree next. Keeping the lob iron. That is impressive. There’s a lot of spin and but it’s not too bad. No, I mean that was just like the Like I feel like as as soon as I club up when I get to that area like I know my miss if I go 54 is going to be in the front right bunker. Like I know if like my good ones are still going to be good but I know that that’s going to be my miss pattern. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So So you’d rather actually stay with a high loft and hit it harder and give it a chance to go like I’m I’m fine leaving it below the hole. I want to give it a chance to go in the hole and if I mis hit it a little bit a chance for it to fly in the like and with a little less spin. So it’s way I mean to be that versatile with the 60 from 5 yards all the way up to 105 yards cuz I max my 60 out at 98 yards. So for him to be able to be so versatile and be able to be create. So he’s got by the sounds of it he’s got a couple of shots. He’s got the cut shot which he he likes for it to cross the center line which is a pin and then he also has one where he kind of rotates the the hands over and that comes out with less spin. and he’s I’ve just watched him play 11 shots now with one club and he’s finally changing because obviously we’re at 115 yards. That’s being versatile and being able to understand what your club is actually not only technically what you’re doing um correct and it’s repeatable but also what your clubs are doing as well. So I mean that’s why so good at it. After that long aside um I’ve got a 54 degree here. Do you remember what an aside is back from like English class in high school? What is it? Tell everybody. I don’t I don’t I don’t remember exactly, but I felt like that was an appropriate time to use it. Rolled off the tong. What was that? So, do you know what an aside is? I know what aside. Is that like comes with a bowl? Like a side ball. I could be way off. could be way off and I could be asking you to cut this, but I think it is from like when they’re telling a story or whatever plot’s going on and then someone goes off to a side and like to the side and goes on this tangent and and runs with it a little bit. Was I doing that? Yes. And I while we’re here, you know, we two one side a remark or passage in a play that is intended to be heard by the audience but unheard by the other characters in the play. Wow. Drama class. Tell you what, that’s a good pull an actor. 115 sand iron. I think I just missed a green, but I will I will take it into the breeze. Yeah, it kind of uh kicked up, didn’t it? It sure did. All right, I’ve got 50° now. He’s used two clubs, I’ve used three. Hence why I need to probably work on my wedge game a little bit more to control it. Uh those the spin and uh or the spin control once it hits the ground. So, okay. Um, 9:00 50. Trying to haul out. That’d be nice. That was a lovely sound. That’s also on a pretty lovely line. And I think it’s deep enough. Oh, no. It falls next to the pitch mark. Yep. But it is unfortunately another outlier in this game we’re playing. Outliers are bad in wedge games. Outliers. aside all those things you’re saying. Yeah, I I covered math and English. I have barely passed school. So, so we’ve gone through the shots. I’ve learned a shot. I tried to implement it. It’s a little bit hard for me, but I tried it. And what I’m getting from Wesley is that his what he’s been doing for a very long time is very repeatable um for him, which is fantastic. And it’s all about the matchups when it comes down to being able to repeat something over and over again. Like his technique is the correct matchup for him. And it’s like I wouldn’t try and say my way is the only way or his way is the only way. It’s all about the matchups. He’s repeatable and and really like obviously up here closer it’s a little awkward. You were mentioning that awkward phase, but when you get outside of 70 yards, it really just comes down to two. It’s it’s contact and distance control. Like with the contact with the contact comes the spin and the ball flight and all that stuff with the swing. But then the distance control like there every golf course has you have a lot of air left, right, short, and long. And so when you pinch it in into wedge distances and you’ve got four like three or four left, three or four right, three or four long, three or four short every single time. Yeah. Like you that’s a very wide margin of air that you have. And so it it really just comes down to a distance control game and can you repeat the the solid contact with the correct amount of power? What do you do for distance control? Because obviously I’ve seen you start from pretty much let’s say 15 yards having a big long practice swing and then matching it like I mean that’s something that is learned right and so for me it’s visual. So if you go if I go to a place like uh Mary and they don’t have normal flags or you go to a place that has like on a hole where you lay up and it has the tall flag stick like mine’s all pretty much calibrated on what my visuals are telling me. And then you So if it’s calibrated on the visuals and that just sends a signal through your body, okay, I need to hit it this high. Exactly. So it’s just like a lot of years of doing it. And so that’s why I’ve always struggled with blind wedges like up over a hill and not being able to see the flag stick. Uh, I struggle on like the ones that are really really elevated where you only see like half of the flag. And so like those are things where I know those are my weaknesses, but when I can see the whole picture, I’m usually pretty good. What about the British Open? Uh, I British Open style golf courses, so I missed one cut. Are you talking about just how the they play for? Well, just because like some p some pins if you once you get in the British Open or you play the British Open, some pins are 10 feet tall and then some pins are Yeah, I only played one and missed the cut there. So, I don’t think it had anything to do with my Okay. I’m just You know that stuff that when you comes up to about here? That’s the stuff that I struggled with. Not the flag. He’s calling it the heather. Yeah. All right. So, now we have Golly, this is fun. Hey, let’s start let’s start close and work our way. Yeah. Work our way out. So, and you’ve obviously you’re going to get to play the last few shots. So, you’re I’ll get to play the last few shots by myself. Yeah. Which is like I mean, just look at the spread pattern that this is his worst shot. That and that one over there and that one over there are my worst shots. I’ve got a lot of work to do to uh or at least a lot of work on my wedges. So, I mean, he’s he’s a phenomenal wedge player. Obviously, I’ve known it for a long time now, but uh All right. Do you want to then the the other nugget though, like while while we’re here, like when you’re practicing, like if you’re at home practicing and you set to up to one fixed location and work your way back in this fashion, which this is how I’ve practiced my wedges for years, I come up and look, and I know the balls are spinning and doing all that stuff, but I want my dispersion pattern to be going from short right to long left. So, like that shot back there is fine. Yeah. like for the the overall dispersion. I don’t want to because of your cut shot, you want it to be this way. Well, it doesn’t matter because like for a right-handed golfer, your pull is going to go longer, your push is going to go shorter. So, like that one right there would like pretty much terrify me. Like a long right or I mean honestly this short left ball, that one’s spun a lot. But yeah, like when I’m looking at my balls that are left, I want to be past the hole. My balls that are right, I want them to be landing short of whatever that number is. Gotcha. So, because then if if it’s long right, you’re like you’re sitting there going, “Oh, something was off feel-wise.” Yes. That’s just Gotcha. That’s like a like a big X. Yeah. Gotcha. And same thing with short left, like a big X. Yeah. Yeah. Gotcha. And will you take note of that? Yeah. When I’m practicing, I I go and I look because I hit all the balls to one location and I can and those ones that feel really off usually have that that dispersion. Okay. I got you. All right. You want to start it? Uh, no, you’re I’ll start it. I am, by the way. He’s two under. Two under. Okay. I’m one under currently. All right. Three under. Three under P. I’ve got two there right now. So, all right. All right. What are you three under? Go about to go four. Yep. Three. Hopefully going to go four right now. Feel like I’m just behind the April straight away. I know. And you got a tough task at the end of the You’re going to have to take advantage down there short. Thank you. Oh, this is perfect. This is perfect practice, by the way. No, so this back home at South Carolina’s facility where I practice a lot with the college kids, like these are the wedge games that we play. Yep. I love that. Oh gosh. I mean, how many under? Six. Six through five. That’s a joke. Good putt. That hot stick is keeping you in it. Are we We’re putting out, right? Oh, yeah. I’ll tap. Didn’t go. That was uh good pot. What? Does that tie it up? 6 through six. I haven’t missed one yet. 6 through six. 6 through six. Okay, me next. Still you Jay. Wait, no, you’ve only had five. Have I? No, you’re only five under further review. A Oh, that’s right. One, this is to go 636. Okay. Oh, I hit it too. I hit it too hard, Wesley. That’s good. You don’t have to tap. I trust you. This is a great game, by the way. I I rate this. I’m going to get good at it, and I’m going to every hole next time. That is such a pathetic effort. That is so pathetic. Uh, you’re out. I just had absolutely no gumption in that putt. Hold gumption. Six under. We need to get to seven. I feel like eight’s going to be the win. So, if I can go seven. Yep. I just went gumption free again. Two in a row. It was great speed. Lawn was just a little low. I don’t cut that soft, Jason. All right. No. Oh, that’s a problem that that one missed. Jason, what? What do you mean? The the siren should start going off. I can’t hold these other ones. No, but I’m saying you’re you’re one down currently and I’ve got one, two, three, four. Well, with the way you’re putting gumption in your putting, right? But what I’m saying is look at my four attempts and look at your four attempts and I’ve got a one stroke lead. So this is where you start to see the writing on the wall. I’ve got five attempts actually. One, two, one behind you. Oh wow. Forgot about that one. That’s actually that could be bogey. That could those two are boaking up on you. Yeah. Okay. I went I’ I’ve gone soft mentally. No, just soft. Starting to think about winning instead of just hitting a good putt down the line. I’m hitting them like soft and weak. Project yourself forward. I know. I need to start forward thinking. Thinking think about the future and that’s all you need to worry about. Being present. Like don’t ever think present. Always think future or back. You can go back on all the bad stuff. I Yes. Good putt. Got it. That’s a good putt. I needed it, Wesley. I know. And you got to Hey, you got me again, right? I know. You got to put to take the lead. I got a putt to take lead. Which means if this goes in, I’m going to have to make one of these three or I lose. Unless you use one of these outliers to bring me back in the ball game cuz bogeies are at play. Yeah, they were. I’m not I’m not going to do myself any favors here, boy. I just need a hole this one. This is your best bet. This is my best bet. And I’ve got a good feeling here, Wesley. It was a little bit this way. D keep digging those heels in right there, Jason. That’s just You know what? I’m going to putt this one first and let those let those feet prints. All right. So, what are you at? We’re both at six under. Do I have to chip it if I’m off the green or can I put it? Oh, you can do whatever you want now. for me, Timbers. The wand has gone cold. Oh, it kicked it left. I think that was going in. I’m gonna tap. Tap. All right. Looks like I got the next two and then Jason. Oh, sorry. I went No, it’s fine. It actually lets me know what I got to do better. Didn’t even watch it go in. Did it go in? Hold this. Adam Scott. Adam Scott. This is to go eight under par and pretty much put him away. Oh, good lag. Oh, there is a chance. That was a lag. Huge lag. Great lag there, mate. Well done. Seven under. So, I got to hold one of uh the last two to tie two to win. All right. Come on, Jason. Hold this. In the case of a tie closest to the pin from over the barn. Yeah. Okay. Are you sure you It could end right here. You can go ahead and putt that one. No, I’m going to hold this and then I’m gonna Okay. All right. I didn’t know if you wanted to drag on the suspense a little longer. I’m dragging on the suspense, man. Rock solid. Yeah. All right. Actually, I’m going to double read this. This needs to go in. Are you nervous, Wesley? No, because it’s a win-win for me. Either I win or I get to hit one over your barn. It’s a win-win. Just never a good sign when you have to uh hit a putt from 115 yards. Leave yourself 35 ft is just poor. Need to work. It is offseason. Haven’t worked on a lot a lot of my game recently. Look how happy he is over there. Jason thinks like he’s tricked himself into thinking that he can make this putt. Everybody watching this at home knows this putt’s not going in. He’s just like excited. Um, this is a huge putt. He thinks I’m going to three putt it, but I’m going to hold it. That’s the plan. Do you like it, Jason? If it turns more, I like it. Turn. Ah, just a little bit hard. I be honest, halfway there, I thought it was in. It hurts my heart a little bit that I lost here, but I always Are you giving me that or am I No, that’s good. That’s good. I’m tapping that. I’ll tap it. Okay, you can tap it for the brand. That’s fine. Wesley Jason took me to school and that’s okay. Well, you brought me into your arena. Yeah. But then you stepped into my arena and it didn’t go over well. But we could do it again. I’m gonna mark my word. I’m having Wesley Ryan back and I’m going to beat him next time. I will beat him next time. So you better get to work because that is the end of this episode, the wedge episode. And I’ve actually thoroughly enjoyed it cuz I’ve been able to pick one of the best wedge players on the planet. his brain on how he gets to do things. And uh yeah, I mean I’ve got some work to do. Congrats on the win, buddy. Thank you. And so to answer the question in the title, the answer is no. Till next time, see you guys.

Early predictions??? Who you got?
You both are golden in these videos together. More of them
This was awesome! 2 of my favorites collaborating! Wish Wes would just lock in and realize how good he really is and get back on tour with his A game! Great video Gentleman.
She said I could watch this for 20 rounds
Such great stuff lads, thank you all
I could watch these two play 4 rounds!
Clean that camera sensor!! It's as filthy as those wedges.
Isn't it spelled Wezley?
I really hope you guys do that again in a month or so
Crazy how fast Jay Day has become my favorite golfer! (Power of YouTube)
Love all the shot details and golf lessons throughout every video he’s in!
Feels like Wes and Jason are filming together a lot more ever since the accursed 84!
J Day is going to win very soon mark my words. All this awesome content. Seems to be bringing even more joy to his game and he is getting more and more dialed I can see it from the first video til now and even last weeks event. He will be Top 10 in the world again in his career. 2026 is his year Let’s Go
Outstanding
Wedgely Bryan

Wesley looks that actor Walton Goggins
Just as an aside, this is a great collab, super watchable! Thanks Lads!
This is the first video I’ve ever saved. Having possibly 2 of the greatest wedge players that currently occupy the same Earth as me talk about wedges is priceless. I struggle with wedges so much, I will be watching this again and again!
Two good guys playing a great game at a awesome level 🐐 🐐
What a dream back yard man. Great vid guys. Go Buckeyes!
Absolutely loved being able to watch you two compete, share and compliment each other.
My dream is to have a backyard like that to continue my passion to practice my short game. ❤❤❤

This vid is mind blowing. Thanks lads. Thanks Wes. I’m now obsessed with chipping in the back yard.
Jason reached number 1 in the world so to see him so free with the compliments is impressive. He seems like a man of character.
I love when my favorite PGA Tour pro and my favorite former PGA Tour pro go neck and neck.
Banned Bros are the worst to listen to, would listen to any other of the lads for hours.
So I’m curious, the clubs are the tools of a golfer. Why would you care how many you are using if you know you can take a 9 o’clock 50° and obtain the desired result? So Wesley uses 2 clubs vs your 3. I’m just really wondering does that matter if you know how to use the clubs?
I just want to live somewhere between that green and that lake.
Contradicting slightly as less loft means lower and with more spin yet the reasoning is to play more shots from further away opening the face when required. Sounds like more variables to me. They the pro tho.
Wes=player who figured out what works for him.
Wesley is a legend man I’ve been into the YouTube golf scene for about 3 years now haven’t seen him give such analysis like this and made it understandable. Cool to see him nerd out a bit. This duo is fireee
Perfect example of why Jason would prefer laying up to 100-ish than 55.
Wesley needs to wear a hat that just says "84".
A literal wedge clinic from these two. I wish I could just use one club for all those shots like Wes. I just don't like to ever hit a full wedge under 120/110 yds to control the spin so I'm not using a LW outside of like 65 yds, SW outside of 85, 52⁰ outisde of 95 yds, and I like to use my chippy PW from 110 to 100. I suck compared to them but I am decent from 100 yds and in (for an 8 hcp player at least 😂) by doing it that way.
Wesley’s right abt the aside comment we learned abt it when talking shakespeare
There is nothing better than watching the finesse Wes has with the wedges. NASTY
2x 🐐
This the due we needed hahaha
what a nice house and scenery
That was fun
