What does the average golfer have to shoot to be considered good at golf? If a guy comes up to me or old lady and and says, “Yesterday I shot an 82.” I say, “Okay, they know what they’re doing.” Yeah, that’s fair. Low80s is nice. Now, my dad when my dad was he was sick and he was dying and he had cancer and he was at Mass General. He’s in the hospital room and we were talking having our last conversations and I go, you know, I was trying to make sure I remembered everything. I go, “Dad, best score at Manchester Country Clubs 71, right?” He goes 70. My bad. Daddy, what is your lowest score? My best on nine. I shot a 36 in Hawaii during the pandemic. I was playing every day and I shot a [ __ ] 36 and then I blew up on the back nine. 36. I was like, good at golf now. I should have not done the nine and it went straight to [ __ ] At least you made a movie where you’re really good at golf. I can pretend I can film me scoring very well. Yes.

  1. Wow… imagine getting to golf everyday during the pandemic… these people arent like us. Dont give them your money or support, they will happily use it against you.

  2. Dude was playing golf during the pandemic while most people couldn't even go see their dying family members. Class act as always, these Hollyweirdos.

  3. Problem with golf is you have to play consistently and have tonnes of free time for it, I remember in college I was just managing to reach the low 80s after playing for 2 years straight, took a couple years of playing infrequently or never coz of work and now I can't get below 100 😂

  4. Oh, so unless you didn't know apparently the golf course were open during the lockdown. That checks out. Btw the libraries were still closed long after folks were going to basketball games.

  5. I can putt really well however golf is extremely hard despite everything you see online in just now starting to get into the whole world of golf

  6. The new movie was ass by the way. Another Sandler gimmick movie. His best days are behind him. I WANTED to love it so badly. I gave it a shot. Regretful.

  7. I average around 90 but in 2007 I shot even par 72 on my birthday with no mulligans! I sunk a 5 footer for par on the 18th to do it! And I was with my stepdad too!

  8. In Hawaii during covid on a golf course, while the rest of us were locked down, travel bans, not allowed to work! Remember what is good for the rich and famous aint for the rest of us schmoes

  9. One of his best & most underrated movies is ‘Funny People’ with Seth Rogan & Jonah Hill, He plays a guy dying of cancer. You can see a lot of him playing his dad kinda. He’s a really good actor. It’s a comedy but it’s dark.

  10. That sounds exactly like me and pool. I'm golden in the first 2 games, but I have to stop after that or I get bad enough it actually gets annoying lol

  11. That’s why I don’t look at my score before the end of 18 cus I don’t wanna give myself false hope that I’m any better than I was the last time I golfed 😂

  12. I hate that they got rid of Virginia, so his daughter could be the main actress she sucked story was fucking corny

  13. Something like 2% of golfers consistently break 80 legitimately so yeah, somebody shooting 82 is pretty dang good.

  14. I was the #6 golfer on our high school team, there's only six golfers. Then I shot a 72 in pre districts which was good for the win. I had my name in the newspaper and all. Then we had districts which would have got you to states and since I won it I had to play with three other winners from different districts. First hole was a par five and I three putted for bogey from 25 feet maybe and then I started literally shaking with nerves and I shot matching 49's for a 98 and finished stone dead last. I never had those nerves since and I still don't know why. It's funny now but I was devastated but my best friend was in the top 6 to qualify for states at Penn St so that was good at least.

  15. Golf can be very very very very enjoyable for most all golfers if they consider a bogey is a par…..that makes par for 18 holes a 90. So, an 88 is two under par !!! It is fun and feels good.

  16. I shot a 36 even on the back today but 6 over on the front my best is a 71 -1 but it was playing the back 9 twice the easier of both sides at an already easy course and I shot an even par 72 there before.
