Oh boy. Goodness gracious. We are in a new era of NHL hockey, folks, because the Dallas Stars and defenseman Thomas Harley were closing in on a contract in the range of 8 years and $10.5 million a year. This is the tweet from Freriedman earlier this afternoon, hearing there’s another big extension coming into focus. Thomas Harley and the Dallas Stars looking like it’ll be 8 by 10.5ish, maybe a bit above that number. Harley has become a big piece for Dallas and team Canada. Furthermore, to that point, you had Pierre Lebron going out there and giving the actual dollar amount, $10.5875 million a year for Thomas Harley for the next 8 years. This guy is going to be making uh what is that? So, we can do 80 plus 4 uh maybe six 85 something million bucks. 86 million bucks, something like that. It’s a lot of money for Thomas Harley, but Bench Rates goes out there and says, “Hey, this is pretty fair.” Thomas Harley improved to becoming a 98 percentile individual offense player, 99 percentile on ice defensive player, 97% defensive player, and a 90 I can’t see the last number there. 99% contribution player. He’s very good. that Thomas Harley and even AFP Analytics says that this contract is really reasonable. They had Harley as a $10.753 million player over 8 years based on the way he plays, but he gets a $10.587 million contract. So, the Dallas Stars, they get themselves some savings here, even though the contract is very close to what AFP says it should have been. And man, a lot of people are going out there and saying things like this. Hey, he’s making 2 million bucks more per year than Lane Hudson. 2 years ago, Harley was projected to be getting 7.65 million on an 8-year deal. Oh, what could have been for the Dallas Stars. If the final AAV stays at 10.6, Scotia Stat Hockey is still saying this is a really good deal for the Texas hockey team. Thomas Harley will continue to grow as a player and in four years this contract will be well worth it with the way the cap is supposed to rise and projection by cap length he’s making about 10.62 million not million excuse me percentage of the cap. So that’s very very beefy but for a guy like Thomas Harley who is now the number one defenseman in Dallas this is honestly not that surprising. This is the new way of the NHL. 24 year old guy. He’s locking up a bunch of UFA years. He’s signing till he’s 32 years old. He’s making 4 million bucks a year right now for the Dallas Stars. And now he’ll be doubling that and then some. He’s got eight points in nine games right now for Dallas. He’s on pace for about 73. Everything that Miro Heiskinan was for the Dallas Stars, Thomas Harley has essentially molded into. And last year during the playoffs, he really came alive with 14 points in 18 games, really cementing that status for him in his play. It makes a lot of sense why this guy’s going out there and getting all this money. And essentially NHL fans, they’re responding to it pretty much by saying, “Hey, Jason Robertson, this is your time, buddy. Pack your bags. This guy is going to go out there and take your funds.” Every signing post is like half comments about other players. Yeah, exactly. LA Kings fan going out there talking about Adrien Kempe. Holy. I remember being a young lad and seeing superstars get signed for 7 to8 million blockbuster deals. Now we’re casually getting $10 million contracts dropped in a random Tuesday night. Stars are good at drafting. I’m glad we’re dragging along Kemp’s contract. You also have Lane Hudson’s contract trending towards being one of the best in the league. Harley is definitely better, but you got to be happy with Dobson at 9.52. At the start, I thought you meant Harley is better than Hudson. Harley is sick and all, but I’d still take Lane Hudson. Now, honestly, I’d probably take Lane Hudson, too. But Harley’s really good, and he’s not tiny like Lane Hudson is. Harley 63205. With that being said though, the Dallas Stars, they are very excited about this deal. And I think a lot of Stars fans would confidently say that as long as Harley can stick around for the long term, even though this move might cost them Jason Robertson, this is a pretty good move. And the contract is fair. He’s a number one D man. He’s very, very good. But sticking around with players whose contracts need renewing, I wanted to take our conversation over and talk about some other news that’s been bubbling around in the NHL sphere a little bit in regards to our Tammy Paneran. Yeah, I know the Conucks are playing the Rangers later today, but we had ourselves a very interesting quote from Frank Sarah speaking out on the future of R. Tammy Paneran, 33 years old, making 11.6 million bucks till the end of this season. I mean, he’s been productive, but the Rangers are not great. So, Frank Sarah went out there and said this on threads and frankly hockey. If the New York Rangers continue to hover in the very bottom of the standings, could they convince Arti Paneran to go to the Carolina Hurricanes? And on this clip of his own show, Sarah says that he thinks that the Hurricanes are one of those teams that he could see our Tammy Paneran going to this season. And obviously there’s a Russian connection there. Andre Fetchnikov, how you do? Our Tammy Paneran heading over there would be a really nice shot of adrenaline on that left wing. But fans are responding to it in a really interesting way. This is the Carolina Hurricane subreddit. They’re going out there and saying that yeah, no, Paneran is older and he’s on a downward trajectory. Not ideal. Yeah, if this was David Pastron, then sign me up. I guess if I talk sports for a living, I’d have to pull some crap out of my ass, too. Why? We have wingers for days, even weeks now. I understand the interest in cadry more than Paneran. I have probably as much credibility as Frank and can vague probabilities to make anything sound plausible. This isn’t reporting. This is interference. Sarah seems to really want the Canes to acquire. Okay. Yeah. So, lots of people going out there and disagreeing with the idea of Carolina being a destination for Paneran, but Sarah did say it, so I was like, “Yeah, you know what? Let’s just include it here in the video.” That would certainly be a pretty strange turn of events. Rangers fans are going out there and asking, “How many seventh defensemen will Paneran fetch? Three or four?” Another reply says Frank needs a new hobby at this point. Jury will ask for Brent Burns and Jordan Stall. Huh? Three-way trade with the Avalanche. E sick. Welcome back. Hey K Andre Miller. That would be very very funny, but it’s not going to happen. Blatant speculation by Frank if you watch the clip. Absolutely nothing of note at the moment. Even though moving Paneran is the right move. On one hand, I get that moving him may need to happen, but as my favorite ranger over the last many seasons, I would be sick to my stomach seeing him on the canes. His entire purpose there seems to be goal scorer. And so for our Tony Paneran, I want you to let me know your thoughts as well, whether or not you think this guy actually could become a Carolina Hurricane. Is that a realistic possibility here for the New York Rangers and what they’ve got going on? What are your thoughts on the Thomas Harley$10.5875 million AAV contract extension? Lots of news to go over here in the NHL in this busy Frozen Frenzy 16 game day. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. I hope you enjoyed this video 9 and bye.

A Robertson trade is imminent now. Unless they somehow get seguins 9.whatever off the books.
That’s actually an underpayment of you look at the market. He’s far better than Bouchard and he makes 10.5.
Good singing for Dallas. Rangers got to reorganize a bit though. Something in that team needs to change. Management + players both on the table.
Hutson will finish a head of all those big contracts , playing for the love of the game ☝️
