Michael Brennan shoots 5-under 66 | Round 4 winning highlights | Bank of Utah | 2025

Johnson Wagner Brennan the 54 hole leader and keeping it going on the third coming off a birdie on two which he’d made two doubles on previously eight under through his last 12 holes yesterday and couple holes later still rolling it just mind blown by the way he drives it by the way he chips it by the way he putts it his entire game is so solid right now ball just below his feet here absolutely perfect playing conditions once again just like yesterday not a breath of wind right Go. Oh, this is an aggressive shot. If it’s enough, this could be really good. Oh, and it is. That had shades of Tiger Woods Canadian Open 2000 on 18 to that back right flag. He’s That ball came in so high and soft. Now it’s downhill. Going to move from his left to right. Played for it to break right. Didn’t move much. and gave it a nice chance and really impressed with his putting stroke as well. As we watch throughout the day, his palms really face each other. His left hand’s just slightly lower. And what that does is it really gives uh your shoulders can be much more square. A lot of times traditional grip, your right shoulder can dip low. Mechanics are just beautiful. Michael Brennan blowing everyone out, bringing this ball in very high. Oh, that misses that slope as well. A little unlucky. Wow, how about this, boys? This is toasted. 192 mph balls people. This is going to get up near the edge of the green. Bye-bye. That’s it. Oh, I can’t wait to see what that one is. It’s in the first cut up there by the bunker, Billy Ray. And I think it’s a very fortunate line going with the grain in the grass and the rough. He’s got plenty of cushion. I think this makes this shot much easier. Going with a little bumper that is just absolutely gorgeous. Got to get a little love to a name there in T5th. Branceer 6663 on the weekend with Brennan being here close. What a response. Yeah, where Hoe’s ball ended up is not a bad position to try to get it up and down. Birdie here all three days. Flies it on. Trying to use maybe that should this actually possibly could come back on the putting surface coming off that slope off the edge of the green. And it does. Still inching closer. 56 ft 10 in for eagle three feet for Brennan to increase his lead to four. Just solid as a rock. Short range. All the short putts we’ve seen him hit this week, they’re not lipping in. They’re going right in the dead center and it’s been a special week so far in Southern Utah. T-side on the way 151 yards. You referenced Wake Forest. He played on the Hall of Famer scholarship, the Lenny Watkins scholarship there at Wake Forest and you play under that scholarship year. Birdie putt on the way. Really good weight again. So hard to get that speed right up and down. Downwind coming out of the fringe. And I love how his palms are so closely matched together. Just slightly left hand low. It’s just, you know, with that vertical shaft like that, you know, the loft of the putter never changes. He uses no forward press. just rocks his shoulders back and forth. Brennan stripes it. You got to get the PGA, bro. I mean, the the commitment just and this one headed left. Uh oh. Not what he No, you can’t right now. the ball is in that lava depression left of the green. Uh he will have a very good option of taking an unplayable playable lie, keeping that point between him and the hole. So that’s not going to be an issue. Decisions, he’s taking his time going to look at the shot before he even takes the initial draw. All right, we’re going to play. Okay. Draws an okay line. Force shot to the par five. Oh yeah. So good. Wow. So good. Fall off on the other side, but he played it out to the left. That was beautifully done. That’s exactly what he needed to do. Now the last putt left. Michael Brennan goes from sponsor invite to PGA Tour winner. What a magical week for the Brennan family with his parents on hand. His dream of playing on the PGA Tour has become a reality here at the Bank of Utah Championship. Many times on the PJ tour, a player with the lead will hit the first TE and that lead is a weight because of the pressure. Today, you seemed calm and comfortable all day. How would you describe the belief you had in this final round? Yeah. Um, I was probably more nervous eating breakfast this morning. Um a little nervous coming down 18, but it uh it feels amazing. I get that belief from from um from my friends, my family, my team. I mean, Jeff, my caddy, believes in me, I think more than anyone uh maybe other than my parents. But um he told me ever since we played a great year, he said, “We’re not going to the cornf tour, whether it was, I don’t know, through something like this or through Q school.” Um and I can’t believe he’s right. You mentioned your parents. They walked the whole way here. They were watching. your friends and fellow members at the River Creek Club in Virginia were watching. The world was watching as you became a PGA Tour winner today. That’s something you’ve dreamed about as a kid. What does it feel like to have that dream come true? Yeah, I it really hasn’t set in. Um it it it’s an amazing feeling. It really is an amazing feeling. Um winning golf tournaments is is is one of the better feelings uh in the world. I mean, it um you know, it it takes a lot to to play professional golf and um I I just have such a great team behind me. Not many people knew your name three or four months ago, but you won on PJ Tour Americas in August, September, and now you’ve won the PJ tour in October, whether it’s mentally, mechanically, strategically, what do you feel like you’ve elevated in your game? Yeah. Um, a lot of a lot of mental uh maybe fortitude or focus, you know, has gotten a lot better. Um, definitely been some technical things that have improved. Improved a lot of around the green and on the green. Um, and I think that showed this week. I I felt like I was pretty good around the greens. Um, but a lot of a lot of belief in my game, uh, that I’m capable and um, yeah, probably that. And your parents are waiting. Go embrace them. Congratulations on winning on the PGA tour. Thank you, Todd. Oh my gosh. Thank you. Proud of you, pal. Yeah, that was Hey, let me take that from you. Unbelievable. You’re good at this game. I hope you too.

With just three tournaments left in the 2025 schedule after this week at the Bank of Utah Championship, every shot and every FedExCup point counts even more than usual. The field is chock-full of proven winners, up-and-coming stars and more as they take on the unique Black Desert Resort, which was cut through a lava field. Alex Noren is the top-ranked golfer teeing it up in Utah. The Swede won twice this summer on the DP World Tour and finished tied for 27th in Japan after joining Luke Donald’s leadership squad as a vice captain for the winning European Team at the Ryder Cup. Matt McCarty will defend his title in Utah after his breakthrough TOUR title a year ago. McCarty’s best finish of the season was a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and comes into his title defense off a T14 in Japan, where he shot an incredible final-round 60 – which featured a run of eight birdies in a row. Joining them are other star players such as Australia’s Jason Day, Aldrich Potgieter, and Billy Horschel.

  1. Why do you put just the winner highlights up before the group highlights!!? This methodology is backwards and ridiculous!
