Asking anyone knowledgeable about shot stats as to how I can maximize my potential with these stats. Currently game a Titleist TSr3 9 degree driver with a Tensei K black shaft in stiff flex. Is there a recommendation for a shaft or different driver I should consider? I am planning to go in for a driver sitting, but curious what any knowledgeable opinions might be. These stats are from a Flightscope Mevo (the mini). I feel like maybe the spin rate is a little too high, but is that taking measurable distance off the flight? What’s the optimum launch angle, and so on.

  1. high ball flight, high spin, you just need less loft. easy fix.

I’ve got similar clubhead speed as you. I personally use a 9 degree callaway elyte triple diamond with x-stiff shaft and it’s been amazing for me at keeping the spin down to the 2000 range. But to be honest, that’s a good carry for a 160 mph ball speed. In my experience, at best 160 ball speed carries like 275ish. Optimum launch is like 13 degrees and spin like 2500.

I’d be interested to see what your fitting is going to be, but if I had to guess, an x-stiff might help keep the spin and launch angle lower since most of the performance driver heads are essentially the same.

Spin is a little high. Hard to tell launch without angle of attack, but if you are getting that high with a Tensei black you are probably coming out to in. 110 is borderline for extra stiff. If you are keeping it in the fairway I would stick with stiff.

I would start by lowering the loft on the driver. If that doesn’t make a noticeable difference you could look into a Ventus black. I’m a high launch/spin driver with a little more speed than you. The Ventus black velocore+ has been amazing for me. You just need to drop launch by a degree or two and spin by a few hundred. Could also look into a different golf ball.
