Heo, Cox Lead Individual Efforts

CARMEL – Senior Daniel Heo shot a 3-under par 69 on Tuesday and finished as the California men’s golf team’s top performer in the team competition as the Golden Bears closed out play in the Preserve Club Collegiate.

Heo carded five birdies and finished 1-under for the tournament, which was good for 29th individually. Freshman Trevor Cox, playing as an individual, was Cal’s top overall finisher at 2-under par after shooting 1-over on Tuesday. Cox was 25th in the individual standings.

Sophomore Matthew Miyamoto shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday and finished 4-over for the tournament.

The Bears placed 11th as a team at 14-over par.

The Preserve Club Collegiate wrapped up the fall season for Cal, which is now off until late January at The N.I.T. in Tucson, Ariz.
