HENDERSON, Nev.— Tarleton State Women’s Golf concluded their fall slate with Lou Deltombe earning the Texans eighth top 20 individual finish at The Clash at Boulder Creek hosted by Northern Arizona at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
 
The Texans were led by the duo of Deltombe and Gina Chen. Each of the two recorded their first eagle of the fall with a two-under par, three strokes on the ninth hole in the first round. The pair joins Louise Depadt to each have one eagle this fall. As a team, the Texans placed 15th overall, shooting a 30-over par, 894. The 894 is the second lowest team score by the Purple and White this season.
 
“We fought through the week the best we could, with the current team injury situations,” said head coach Isabel Jimenez. “We had four players counting four scores, every single shot counts, which adds pressure to every single shot. It was a good testing week, we leave with a lot of good feedback to work on during the offseason. We will have a small, deserved break for the rest of the week, and be back to practices the next week.”
 
Deltombe paced the Texans once again, finishing tied for 15th overall. She carded a pair of under-par rounds shooting a 71 on each her first and third rounds of the tournament. She notched her first eagle of the fall on the ninth hole of her first round. Deltombe entered the final round in a tie for 33rd place and climbed 17 places with her one-under final round. She finished with an even par, 216, her lowest of the season. The senior notched her third top 20 finish of the fall and second consecutive.
 
Chen recorded the lowest round by a Texan with a two-under, 70 on her second round. She carded an even par 72 in her first round to finish the first day two-under and in a tie for 11th place overall. On her final round, Chen shot a five-over, 77 to finish her final event of the fall tied for 30th with a three-over par, 219, her second lowest of the fall.
 
Rebeca Fernandez posted her lowest 54-hole score of the fall. She finished with a 10-over par, 226, her best of the fall by over 10 strokes. Fernandez opened the event with a one-over 73 followed by a 76 on the second round. In her final round, she shot a five-over par, 77, tying for the second-best final round by the Texans. She finished tied for 65th place.Natalia Fiel Ros closed the fall with a 17-over par, 233. The sophomore opened with a pair of 77’s in the first two rounds on Monday. She closed with a 79 to finish in 88th overall.
 
The host Northern Arizona narrowly took the team title with a 24-under par performance. New Mexico State followed behind in second with a 20-under par finish. On the individual side, New Mexico State’s Emma Bunch and Fresno State’s Amelia Garibaldi tied with 11-under par, 205, performances.
 
Tarleton State’s spring slate will be announced in the coming weeks ahead of their 2025 WAC defending title appearance at the 2026 WAC Championships in McKinney, Texas on April 20-22.
