Jason Day switches to Avoda Ions follows Dshambo’s footsteps. Australian golfer Jason Day has made a notable equipment change at the Bank of Utah Championship, moving to Avoda Golf Ions, a brand closely associated with Bryson Dashambo. Unlike Dashambo’s same length irons, Day chose variable length irons customized with new soles and head shapes for his swing. Since parting ways with Tailor Made in 2021, Day has been an equipment free agent exploring innovative options. After his first round at Black Desert Resort, he shot a three under 68, followed by a 72, hitting 75% of greens in two rounds and currently standing T38 in the field. Dealing with wrist and back injuries, Day said the main goal is to achieve a repeatable swing, producing his preferred draw handup, prioritizing consistency and precision with his new setup.
