Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course has been named the 37th best casino golf course in the U.S. by Golfweek magazine, moving up three spots from 2024.
The course, fifteen years after its first tee shot, continues to gain national recognition for its design and playability, landing on the magazine’s Best of 2025 list of top 50 casino golf courses.
“Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course offers a premier golf experience for golfers of every skill level, from casual golfers to true golf enthusiasts,” said Kevin Nephew, Seneca Resorts & Casinos President & CEO.
“There are countless golf courses of all types and levels across the U.S.,” he added. “Seeing Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course consistently mentioned among the best is a testament to how the course both complements the overall guest experience and world-class service we provide at all of our properties, and stands alone as a signature destination.”
The rankings are based on evaluations from Golfweek’s panel of hundreds of members, who score courses nationwide on 10 criteria. The panel members also file a single, overall rating on each course. The ratings are then averaged to produce a final rating for each course that is used to compile the magazine’s Best Course rankings.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course is regarded as one of the finest courses in New York State, and has been regularly included on numerous “Best Courses” lists from such publications as Golf and Golfweek magazines.
It has also hosted tournaments for the WNYPGA, US Am Tour, and National Collegiate Club Golf Association, and others.
