BOULDER CITY, Nev. (October 27, 2025) – Leading the way, the Northern Arizona women’s golf team fired two under-par rounds on the first day of The Clash at Boulder Creek, sitting in first place by three strokes at -16 (560). New Mexico State follows in second at -13.
The Lumberjacks collected the most birdies of any team with 42 and lead the field in par-4 scoring with a team average of 3.96 (-4).
Amy Hodgkins is the clubhouse leader at -9 (135). In the morning, she carded three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 13th hole for a round of 69 (-3). The Australian kept her momentum going in the afternoon, catching fire with the putter to make seven birdies, including five consecutive from holes nine through 13. She closed her second round with a 66 (-6). Hodgkins excelled on the par-4s, averaging 3.80 (-4) to lead the field. She ranks second in total birdies with 10 and holds a three-stroke lead over teammate Lizzie Neale.
Neale also posted two under-par rounds on the day, making four birdies on the back nine in her opening round, including three straight on holes 14, 15, and 16. Her morning 69 (-3) put her in second place individually. In the afternoon, she opened with back-to-back birdies to spark another strong round, adding three more to finish with another 69 (-3) and remain in tied second.
Frankie Dezis tallied the most birdies of any player with 13 total. She also led the field in par-3 scoring at 2.63 (-3). Starting her day on hole two, Dezis dropped a shot early but bounced back with five straight birdies from holes four through eight. She added two more on 16 and 17 to finish the first round at even-par 72. In the afternoon, she recorded birdies on holes seven, eight, 10, 11, 13, and 16 for a 70 (-2), putting her in a tie for 11th.
Nina Lukyanenko sits in a tie for 33rd after rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (E). Her opening round included three birdies, and in the afternoon she picked up three consecutive birdies on holes nine through 11 and another on hole 14.
In a tie for 54th, Sumin Kang posted scores of 73 (+1) and 75 (+3) for a +4 total, carding five birdies over 36 holes.
Competing as individuals, Ava Bates and Glafira Pomazkova sit tied for 61st and 99th, respectively. Bates had three birdies in her morning even-par 72, and two in her second-round 77 (+5). Pomazkova recorded rounds of 82 (+10) and 76 (+4).
The final round of The Clash at Boulder Creek will conclude tomorrow, beginning at 8 a.m. MST with a shotgun start. The Lumberjacks will tee it up alongside New Mexico State (-13), North Dakota State (-5), and South Dakota State (-1). Live stats are available through Scoreboard Clippd.
