The ULTIMATE Day at Matt Jones’ Compound

What a day! I headed over to Matt Jones’ insane compound for a full day of fun — riding bikes, sending it on the pitbikes, and even going for a new lap record attempt around his dirt track! 🏁

But that’s not all… I also got to drive my dream car, the Porsche 991 GT3 RS, alongside Matt in his Lamborghini Murciélago SV. The sound, the speed and the Mcdonalds drive through was unreal.

Oh, it’s like watching an Axel Hodgees movie. Welcome to today’s video. As you can see next to me, I’ve got a new toy which we’re going to take up to Matt’s house, try and put the bike on the roof somehow. I’ve only had it for 3 or 4 days actually, so hopefully it’s going to fit. That’s the first challenge of the day. And then for the rest of the day, basically, we’re gonna go have as much fun as we can. Go try out the cars, go ride his compound, [Music] maybe do a bit of pit biking. First things first, we got to get up to Matt. So, let’s try and put the bike on the roof. So, first of all, I’m filming on the Ace Pro 2. It’s pretty much Insta 360’s go-to general all vlog cam. Films up to 8K, 120 frames. It’s super easy to use with this back screen as well, which is why I use it for my general video making. It’s also got this pretty handy time-lapse feature, which we’re using right now. Oh yeah, what a sick day. There it is. That was pretty scary, but it does fit. And wow, what a dream come true. Now we just got to find somewhere for the front wheel. There you go. Pads, cameras, and helmet in the front. Perfect. We’re ready to go. So good. It sounds unreal. Ready? Yeah. Here it is. the run into the house jump. It’s got a pretty handy little bit here. If you press that, it lifts the front up. So, you got better clearance for bumpy roads like Matthew’s house. Here it is. I’ve not seen it all redone. Look at that thing. [Music] That’s sick, mate. Orange and green is the one. The tic tac. Yes. Wow. The Mercy. The boys are easily impressed. The RS. Oh my god. The CS and the SV. Wow, mate. Look at that. You need another gallery, don’t you? To fill the garage up. I’d love one of those. What does SV stand for? For Super Valce. Super fast. Super fast. That is the best. That’s so Italian. The question always is actually, will it start? Yes, it is Italian. An Italian one. This is sick. This is literally like being in some bonkers museum. Fattest best pair of hips you’ve ever set eyes on. Oh, the pots. Samuel. Right. Next up, some car action. We got the X5 Insta 360’s 360 cam. and war. I’ never used this uh kind of setup before, but should just see the titanium exhaust tips. Yes. And the RS badge. Some nice heat coming off there, isn’t there? Let’s see if this uh stays on. That would be nice, wouldn’t it? [Music] That’s like That’s different when you’re here and you got no brake pedal, isn’t it? It’s different gravy. Just a fire extinguisher to look at. [Music] Not there. See, you found it. It’s how good to play with. It’s like PlayStation, isn’t it? And I just drive it like a go-kart. I put my left foot on the brake and right foot on the accelerator and just drive around like that. Well, it is, isn’t it? Yeah, it’s a huge go-kart. I’m doomed. There it is, Matt. The GT3 RS. What’s the verdict? Uh, honestly, 10 out of 10. Auto trader later. Yeah, you’ve bought the best car, mate. Thanks. You’ve um I thought long and hard, and this is what I came up with. You put me in a spot of boiler. Yeah, you just have to get one. We can join the club. Yeah, I think when I had my GT3, I wasn’t that like engaged enough with cars and how they handle. I hadn’t tried enough things. So, I probably didn’t appreciate it, which is a horrible thing to say. I loved your GT3. That was one of my favorites you ever had. But I was also scared of it. Like when I went on track, I was so scared of crashing it that I just drove it like a squid with the old stampy feet. Yeah. Well, you can you wait these brakes on track. Go and get one of these and we’ll go head to head. Turbo green. for letting me drive it, mate. Honestly, pleasure. Should we hop in the Lambo and give it a comparison? Yes. That’s a really silly looking car. Oh, the theater. And look at this. It’s very clean. I feel bad getting into it. 232 of 350. Is that all they made? Less. They they made the badges when they started the run. They didn’t even make 232. They actually made 186 of them. They just gave up. Different countries got allocated different categories. They stopped at 186 because of the 2008 recession. Is that rightand drive versions or is that just total? There’s only 28 rightand drive ones in the world. No way. Yeah. And we get to go in one. What lucky boys? That sounds like a Formula 1 car. So you say 6 L V12. 6.5 L V12. That’s enough for naturally aspirated. 670 horsepower. Yeah. People always used to talk about naturally aspirated and I never really used to get it, but now I totally do. It’s all I’m interested. It is awesome, isn’t it? Again, quite the view out the mirror, isn’t it? [Music] It’s like a dinosaur. It’s so powerful. How big is the gear changes? Like what’s the point in having 670 horsepower if you can only deploy it for like a second and then it’s off? What happens when you pull the lever? Is there like a squirrel in there that changes the gear manually and then puts the clutch back in? That’s what it feels like. That’s kind of half the fun though, isn’t it? Yeah. Really? Gear change. I think it’s breaking every time. Yeah. It’s really powerful. Nice. It really squeezes you into the chair, doesn’t it? [Music] I’ve never driven a Lamborghini. Sick. Or a V12. This is incredible. So much anger just under your foot, isn’t it? Ready to go. Good way to get a McDonald’s, brother. Yeah. We’ve got ourselves some lunch. And I’d say for everyone that doesn’t like cars very much, sorry, but we like them very much. Let’s go do some pit biking. More engines. Yeah, true. Still going to be engines. Just not quite that good. Yes. Right. Next up on today’s ultimate activities of doom day, we’re going to be going for the new Insta 360 Go Ultra. It’s a super lightweight new cam and it’s probably my absolute favorite and this is why. You simply pop it out from this mount. That’s kind of like an extra battery charger with a screen on the back so you can check out all your settings. And then this little thing films in full 4K 30 or 60 frames a second. And it’s so light. I can’t actually remember the exact weight, but here it is on the screen now. And the quality, as you’re about to see, is just awesome. I like to put this one on the chin mount or on the head because you barely even notice it’s there. Um, going to put it on the chin here. It just straps straight onto there. And yeah, off we go. There it is. And it still connects with Bluetooth onto here. So, you can check all your settings and make sure that it’s lined up right. And then just leave this at the side of the track. That jump never used to be there. He’s definitely been practiced inside line. That’s the one. [Music] [Music] Yes. Oh, little seat belts getting rooed. [Music] [Music] Hey, inside. No, no. Get I was actually just thinking how slip it was today. Yeah, seen that. It makes me desperate to go and be number one, but it’s my tracks. I’ve got to remain humble. You are a humble dumpty. 40.42. Epic sesh. Pit bikes absolutely never fail. Definitely need to get mine out at home. Really should do with making a track for the winter. But yeah, the Supercross track was incredible. And managed to set a new lap record, which is completely insane. I can’t believe it. So yeah, let’s go quickly put the sticker on the board and then we’re going to head to the compound for a few tricks to make this ultimate day even better. Matt literally lives in the best place in the whole world. Right, back in the car and we’re heading to our final stop of this incredibly awesome day. Off to Matt’s old compound which has got the airbag and everything cool like that. And yeah, finish off this absolute banger of a day. Right, X5. Here it is then. Probably the most versatile Insta 360 camera of all. Filming in 8K, 25 frames a second, but you can drop it to 5.7K and go to 60, so you can get two times slow-mo, which I sometimes do. active HDR as well and pure video mode which we filmed at the Swatch 9 at night the other day which is awesome. You can basically see in the dark. What an awesome camera. If I could only buy one, I’d probably buy this one. So, probably one of the best things about this camera for me anyways is I can film this in YouTube mode. So, 16×9 in sort of widescreen for YouTube or you can literally flip the exact same clip. So, you can film one shot and you can put it on YouTube and on Instagram. Isn’t the X5 great, Matthew? This is the best camera ever. I’ve got so much like worms and alive stuff on me. You do from crashing. There’s literally some red worms. Yeah. What are they? They’re not leeches, are they? Never seen one of them before. You’ve created a new uh mic. I’m also filming on the Ace Pro 2, mate. Look, it’s still going. It’s been going all day, isn’t it? As is this one. No. Go all night, too, given the low light capabilities. I’ve already talked about the pure video mode. Well, I thought I’d double down on it. Well, it’s just really hammer it home. You don’t need anything that um brightens up a scene, though, cuz That’s true. We’ve got like a day glow car going everywhere with us. Clean yourself up. I’m going to get to the top. First run fronty. How long has compound been here? Uh about that long. Yeah, we’ve done it every year for eight years. So first run fronty. It’s just what we do. More than 10 years then. We are getting old. Start. You didn’t like hanging out with me at the start. Yeah. Yeah, you used to be quite annoying. But you’re all right now. I was only annoying cuz you had to step stand on a lower spot on the podium. No, there was just like more people to hang out with back in those days. Now there’s not so many, so I kind of have to put up with you. All right, let’s see if the 8K zoom can uh follow you down. I’m gonna just do a flip in the hand for Jamie. I think I really thought from the moment I took off I was like great, he’s going to laugh at this one. Yeah, you’d have been sitting on those seats covered in God. Jamie, flip no hands. Right, we’re going to try a bit of slow-mo to show the slow-mo capabilities of the camera. Look, we can go two times slow-mo, 5.7K, active HDR on, which really brings out the nice colors. Yeah, HDR is a good setting. You need good light for it, and today’s still pretty good. Nice clouds. It just brings up that definition, you know. Yeah. High dynamic range, I believe it stands for. Pop that back on there. Watch it look good in a slow-mo, you reckon? Anything with a tail whip? Yeah. Should we try super bar spin? Yeah, that would look mad the right way. Real stretched out tail whip. Yeah. Do you want some help? Super whip. Superman tail whip. That wasn’t too bad. bolts, bro. That was the bike landed first completely and then I landed on it, but didn’t panic. Off the chesty and clip it straight on the end of the old pole and go get some bangers of Matt. Oh no, look how dirty it is. Oh wow, he’s got worms on him. Oh, he’s wormed it. That’s so weird. Look, there’s a white one. Right, this shot’s cool on the X5 because you can lob it in the air and even if it’s spinning around, it’s always spinning and twisting. The camera knows. So, you can just lock onto your subject and just follow that no matter what the camera is doing, whether it’s spinning around or or what. So, yeah, you never miss the shot. You just sometimes drop the camera. But that doesn’t matter because you can replace the lenses now on the X5. Sling it, Matthew. Oh. Do you do it? Yeah. Sick. Oh, no. It’s in the worm pit. Wonder if that looks cool. That’s cuz the pedals went round. That’s exactly that’s exactly on the trampoline crash. That’s worth having. That’s worth another squirt, is it? If you only want one camera, I think the X5 is awesome just because it’s versatility. You can film so much on it, and you can get pretty creative as well. So, if you want to try something different, I’d say X5 is for you. Or if you want the lightest action camera around that you don’t even know you’re wearing, then it’s the Go Ultra.
