ARDEN, N.C. – Charlotte Women’s Golf will complete their fall season on Tuesday (Oct. 28) at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in the French Broad Collegiate Invitational, hosted by UNC Asheville. The Cliffs at Walnut Cove opened in 2005 and was designed by Jack Nicklaus. This private golf course is the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Round one began on Monday morning with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start, however play was suspended at 12:38 p.m. due to heavy rain. The remainder of round one will begin Tuesday morning, shortly followed by round two.
WHERE THE NINERS RANK
At the current release of the Scoreboard National Rankings, Charlotte Women’s Golf ranks 67th and third in the American Conference, with only Tulsa (54) and North Texas (63) ranked above them. Pinky Chaisilprungruang is the second-highest-ranked individual at 142, only behind North Texas’ Malisone Chanthapanya at 116.
