Yeah, it [Music] [Music] Good afternoon. Welcome to the clubhouse report with Salasia and today I’m following up with the golfers as they prepare for their uh upcoming tournament that’s open 2085. So here I am today with Daniel Asamani. So for those of you who don’t know Daniel, he is on the cusp of going professional. And Daniel, it’s great to meet you or to catch up with you today, man. How has training been going since the Ghana Open? Well, let me say after the Ghana, I’m playing very well now. I’m playing very very much better now. Right now, I’m practicing hard for the Ghana, but I need to do another cut for the Gha Open. I have a lot of cuts that I need to do for the Open. So, yeah, I still practicing on it. Okay. Um, you made a cut at the Ghana Open. That must have boosted your confidence. How are you building on that performance ahead of the Open? Yeah, the car open. I need to do better than what I did in the Ghana. The Ghana Open two days. I shoot plus 9. Well, plus 9 is good, but to me, I need to play better than last night. Okay. I need to play better than last night. So, you’re on the verge of turning a pro. What’s the journey been like for you? Yeah, the journey is not easy because as a young guy coming coming as a professional, they need to see that energy in you. So you need to revive that energy. So they don’t want to see you coming to join them and you are not you are playing but you are not making cut. You need to come and join the players. You don’t need to be a spectator, need to be a player. And what has been your biggest lesson so far? Oh my well my biggest lesson is because I’m not member in aimat club sometimes I find it difficult to play on the course so normally I hit balls a lot I hit balls on the driving range a lot and I part I part a lot like I have like 400 balls I part like maybe 4 hours maybe 5 hours before going to sleep but that is what I do now. Okay. So, what are the specific parts of your game that you are focusing on before talaka open? My biggest challenge of my game right now is my different part and like from 100 yards to the green. Yeah, that is what I’m working on. As a good golfer, when you are in the 100 yards on the green, you need to your third shot or your second shot need to be given because when you are close to 100 yards to the green and now you you leave the ball short, you are giving yourself another extra work. So you need to hit that ball like maybe 5 ft or 10 ft to the hole so that your party or your bedding will be easy for you. Okay, sounds good. And as you prepare for one of Ghana’s biggest tournament, what are your personal goals or expectations for this year? Well, my goals are on the normal day, I need what I’m working on the normal day, I need to play well. That is what I I put in my head all the time. I need to play well. I don’t want anything that maybe I say it’s because of this. I don’t depend on something like it’s because of this. That is why I put in. So that is why I’m training hard for my game should catch up before the tournament. It’s not now before the tournament is closed. Now I want my game to catch up with the tournament. No, I want my game to be ahead of the tournament. So when we start, I know I’ve practiced for this for so many years. It’s not it’s not easy. You start playing the qualifier. I think from last last two years up to now. Finally, what message do you have for young golfers or fans who are following your journey? Well, the message that I have for the young one is if you want to be a pro, you need to work hard because it’s not easy. You need to work hard. Playing with Ventoga Ventla, playing with Kojobani, playing with Soko, playing with those guys is not easy. Playing with those guys is not easy. But when you when you practice and you are playing with them, it’s easy for you to beat them. They have the experience. They play with experience. But when you practice, practice, practice make one perfect. So when you practice, definitely you have the result. So you can beat those guys. But if you don’t practice, it’s hardly for you to challenge with them. So it means we are expecting good things from you at the Ara Open. For sure. Yeah. We wish you all the best and as you take up this training and we’ll follow up from time to time to keep others updated. But thank you very much for spending this. Thank you. [Music] [Music]
