Especially the ball below his feet. Everything’s set up for him. Oh, hello. Got lucky. Caught that side slope. Yeah, that was up the face of the bunker. All of a sudden, he’s got 8 foot for a birdie. Six hole. Little par four. Another one for Lee there. Four on the spin. Moves up to minus 72 behind. Very nicely held there from Elvver. So nine under, one under through the first three. He’s your new leader. Let’s go to the ninth. Just off it it seems for Jacqu Kravake winner in Kenya earlier this season. He’s that’s a great birdie down the hardest hole on the golf course. So he put pressure on himself there to Lee at the seventh for a birdie. Par three this one. Second par three on this nine. In you go in you go in you go. Oh hello [Music] [Applause] Bay into the back nine and it’s not going to be the best of starts unless he rolls this one in. Yeah. Well done P. It’s lovely when you hold a 30-footer for a P. Alex opting a put. I would chip this. Just take it over the fringe, but down away off the left. Has he got it? [Applause] At last for Fitzpatrick. You have to give it a pretty good hit to get it up this false front. Not a lot of break to it. He’s stretching out, isn’t he? Ball well above his feet. So we’re all sort of hookie looking set up into 10, but the pin is on the left. Yeah. And finds it. Look how it just feeds away. That’s how tricky they are this week. Gosh, he felt that the heartbreak of It’s made its way over to 10 as well. Lee for birdie to get within one. That was a confident stroke. Someone like an Aaron Cochr all of a sudden has a small chance if we have a non-member winning. Yeah, we’ll get to that later on today should it happen. Matsyama is fourth. There’s been trouble down the night. Having a good day, Afy Barrett. No bogeies to this point. One of only a few. Good shot. It’s going to get closer as well off that slope. Back out to the 13. Richard Stern is at three under par and make Oh yes. Make that four under. [Music] Horrible. Second shot of Lee at the 14th. [Applause] He’ll be focused on a a good finish. You won’t want to give away the week. Yeah. Slowing up the greens off the right. He’s drained another one, everyone. It is game time now. Alva tied for the lead. Third, the 11th. It’s very well played. Little tester coming up to stay in the lead. Alva trying to win for the third time on the DP World Tour. Seventh in his career. Of course, four Hotel Planner tour wins. And yeah, how many times can you keep chasing those putts at that length? Birdie putt for Sullivan. And you know what? He’s not out of the equation if he knocks this in. And he has knocked it in. So he goes to minus 8, two behind. Those moments where you race through the field. Something that’s Andy Sullivan’s done a lot of in his career. to go to 13 and cuts a rega from 182 yds on this signature hole. 13th pass three over the water and finding the flag. Good shot. Second at the 14th for Oh, Metsyama. That’ll be a certain birdie. Good bunker players like wet sand. You can really spin it a little extra. The sand hasn’t spun much, but this is an easy bunker shot. I think you’d be looking to hole it. Yeah, he’s judged that well. I always thought the hardest shots in golf under pressure were the bunker shots with the wet sand maybe just made that slightly easier. That was well played. Right, let’s go to the 18th. has to make Birdie currently on the outside looking in. He’s projected 122. It might not even be enough, but it is all or nothing for Jordan Gumbberg down the last. [Music] Can you believe that? Now that’s unbelievable. That is going from 127th to 101st talk just inside of 100 for Alvera. He’s got a little bit of a back stop with these softer conditions. Might be able to spin it down that slope. Got to be aggressive. Oh, this was aggressive right had it. Look at that. Three golden opportunities coming up here at the 15th for birdies. This has a little bit of right to left. I think you need to keep it inside the hole. Another good putt. And with that, Nacho Vera ties the lead once more here at 15. Now they’re at two at 10 under par. 219 yards to the flag here at the 16th. Down you come. Down you come towards the hole. Big weight on that 16th T. Decent contact. Look at that. Beautiful stuff. Lovely stuff. Yes, I thought you might enjoy that. So that for 11 under take the clubhouse lead. [Applause] Maybe that coming next to take it all. First couple of feet. What’s it going to do? [Music] The hits just keep on coming down the 18th for us here in the final round. Huge from Lorie Caner. Never anywhere else. That one right in the middle. Well done to the young lad. 64 final round. That will do it. Well, 11 under may well play off. May well win. Who knows? [Applause] That is massive for Nacho Alvira. [Applause] This stay within one. Well, he’s just hold one for a part. Oh my. Oh my. What an effort. What an effort for Alvivera. Well, he’s got the he’s got the length to reach that par five, the final hole. He needs an eagle now though for a playoff. All right, back further down 18 with Nacho Alvir. Sullivan and Lindberg have both laid up. He’s got a good lie. 257 yards. I don’t know what your angle you’re looking at, but there’s some tree trouble. He’s going to have to play a draw. Probably add 15 to 18 yards to the distance because of the cold conditions. This is getable, but he’s going to have to flush it to get it there and play at least a 20 yardd hook. Yeah, this has got Lori Kent’s emotions running as well. Or if he doesn’t carry that left side. No dear. Straight into the water. So it’s like a sky hook. I think that was almost Well, remarkable scenes. Nacho Vera in the water and it has gone right down to the wire in South Korea. But it’s Jong Juan Lee who crosses the finish line in first. That man on screen is your Genesis champion for 2025. A day that was dripping in drama. Remarkable stuff. His first ever victory on the DP World Tour. He’s headed back for the trophy now. They do. Yeah, you’re right about that three shot lead though. It didn’t It wasn’t a three shot win as such. You know what I mean? It was got a lot closer all the way through. But for him to start, you know, one over through the first, two shot in the second, he must have done Oh, here we go. And then after that, he was eight under for the last 16 holes over 32. So impressive. Deserves to win. Jungwan Lee, you are the 2025 Genesis champion in your hometown uh home country, excuse me, of South Korea. Try and describe the emotions that you’re feeling right now. I feel like I’m in a dream. I still can’t believe I won and so it’s very hard for me to describe what I’m feeling right now. Was there a shot or a moment today that you think turned the tournament in your favor? So, I think overall I played very well, but on um 12th I had a T-shot miss and I thought that I was done there, but then I was able to save that ball and I that was when I thought that perhaps the tables are turning and the gods are looking down on me. I believe you’ve decided to take up your DP World Tour membership for next season and you’re also going to Abu Dhabi for the playoffs. How excited are you at both of those opportunities? Abu Dhabi play. again. I really feel like I’m dreaming. I really really wanted to go to the DP World Tour and I was actually working hard toward that goal but somehow I was coming up short a little bit but I was really making the effort and now I have this really really great opportunity. So I’m just really grateful. I still feel like I’m in a dream and uh I’ll begin in Abu Dhabi and to be on these courses that I’ve been watching on TV and being side by side playing with all these players that I followed on um TV. It it just feels like a dream. Many congratulations, Jungwan, and we’re looking forward to seeing you in Abu Dhabi. Thank you very much. Nice stuff. Mike Song, the global head of Genesis, here to hand it over as well. Such an important event for them and for that man, a lifecher. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. 2. Great final round, but a truly clickbaity thumbnail – you’re better than that! Factually accurate but it wasn’t an 18th hole tussle as you insinuated

  3. Korea is like fantasy world or something uniquely amazing. The course is like a garden. Great way to finish the regular season. Like a perk. But all the events have been unique. This was a cool tournament. So many stories and unique awesome moments. Lee had one of those special days. Gumberg did something special. Canter as well. Cool pin position on 18.
