FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 26, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women’s golf team will head to Boulder Creek to host the fifth annual Clash at Boulder Creek tournament, taking place Oct. 27-28. Live scoring for the event will be available via the Clippd Scoreboard.

Although the Boulder Creek Golf Club features three sets of nine holes, the tournament will be played on the Desert Hawk and Coyote Run courses, totaling 6,429 yards at par 72.

Two rounds will be played on Monday, Oct. 27, with the final round scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28. Both days will begin at 8:00 a.m. MST with a shotgun start.

The Desert Hawk nine features both desert and oasis elements, and will serve as the front nine for the tournament. Players can take advantage of opportunities for long drives but will be challenged to place approach shots on the correct side of the green. The Coyote Run nine requires more strategic play off the tee to avoid its meandering arroyos.

“We are super excited to be hosting our tournament in Vegas this coming week,” head coach Brad Bedortha said. “We’ve had a great couple of weeks of practice and are looking forward to competing again for the final event of the fall semester. The weather looks great, and we’re hoping for a great experience for the Lumberjacks.”

In the 2023 edition of the tournament, Northern Arizona made history by setting a new program record low for 18 holes with a score of 275 (-13) in the second round, breaking the previous record by three shots.

In 2024, the Lumberjacks not only surpassed that mark with a -21 team score for 18 holes, but also set a new program record for the lowest 54-hole score at -27.

Most recently, Northern Arizona competed at the NMSU Golf Iconic Classic in Las Cruces, N.M., where the team finished second overall. Nina Lukyanenko fired a career-low 67 (-5) in the opening round, followed by two even-par 72s to finish tied for fourth individually.

Competing teams include: Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Drake, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Nebraska, New Mexico State, North Dakota State, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, UTEP, and individuals from UNLV.

Northern Arizona enters the tournament as the top-ranked team in the field, sitting at No. 69 in the Clippd Scoreboard national rankings, followed closely by Nebraska at No. 71.

The NAU lineup will feature Lizzie Neale, Amy Hodgkins, Frankie Dezis, Nina Lukyanenko, and Sumin Kang. Ava Bates and Glafira Pomazkova will compete as individuals.
