This all-in-one golf drill helps you use the ground better, shift pressure at the right time, and build smoother tempo.
Start with your feet together, step back, then forward as you swing — it teaches rhythm, sequencing, and coordination all in one.
Tour players master this early pressure shift to create effortless power and balance. Stick with it — even if you wobble at first.

So, we know that tall players get into that right side a lot earlier than amateurs do in their back swing and they get into their left side a lot earlier than amateurs do in the down swing. So, here’s a drill that can help you. Now, it’s a little bit of a coordination exercise. So, maybe have some practice swings first, but literally two alignment sticks and you’re going to stand on them like they’re a balance beam. And all we’re going to do as we swing back and the hands get past the thigh, we’re going to step over that one stick. And then before we get to the top of our back swing, we’re gonna step towards the target over the other stick and then obviously swing through. So, as you can see, it’s a little bit of like a coordination exercise going on here. I’m sure I’ll be fine. So, the club goes back and then I step and then I step again. So, club goes back, I step, step. And that was actually really good. But that’s really giving me the sensation of what it’s like to move and to move, which is what the best players do. So, give that a try.
