A Green Bay Packers player’s passion is taking flight. The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) released the third episode of its AthleteAnd YouTube series, spotlighting Packers tight end Luke Musgrave.
The episode highlights his love for flying planes — a passion Musgrave discovered during his recovery from a Grade 4 kidney laceration in November 2023. While the injury ultimately landed him on injured reserve, it also provided Musgrave with the chance to explore new interests — one of which was aviation.
FOX 11 Sports’ Ryan Wing and Ellie French spoke with Musgrave in the Lambeau Field locker room to learn more about his journey and, of course, get his take on the Packers’ highly-anticipated Sunday Night Football matchup this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It will be quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ first time facing his former team.

Yeah, I think um yeah, it’s just to have options. Uh but it’s again, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. So, who knows what it’ll what it will morph into, but I think it’s always good to um just pursue your passions. And I think it’s a good way to for me to step away um from football in the offseason, still focus on working out and stuff, but kind of still uh have that competitiveness and and focus my brain on something else that’s not football. Uh, in that way I never really take a full break, but it’s just a way to divert attention, I
