Big Break x Good Good debuts August 2026, showcasing Central Texas’ premier lakefront golf destination

HORSESHOE BAY RESORT, TX – Earlier this week it was announced that Big Break – Golf Channel’s transformative golf reality competition series will return to Golf Channel in 2026 in partnership with Good Good Golf.

Season 24 of Big Break – Big Break x Good Good – will premiere on Golf Channel in August 2026 and will take place at Horseshoe Bay Resort, the AAA-Four Diamond and Conde Nast Readers’ Choice Award-winning resort, a part of the Crescent Hotels & Resorts Latitudes collection, in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.

“It’s a distinct honor to be selected as the golf resort that will host the relaunch of the storied Big Break television franchise and to partner again with the talented teams from Golf Channel and Good Good Golf,” said Randy Zupanski, Horseshoe Bay Resort’s managing director. “We’re overjoyed that viewers will get to know Horseshoe Bay Resort intimately as the scenic location for all the thrilling golf competitions in each episode of Big Break x Good Good.”

Dating back to its debut in 2003, Big Break pits highly-skilled golfers against each other in a variety of skills challenges from tee-to-green, including two of the series’ signature challenges – the popular “Glass Break” and “Flop Wall” challenges – which will return for Big Break x Good Good.

Throughout the show’s history, Big Break has awarded aspiring professional golfers exemptions into select events on tours across professional golf, including the PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, DP World Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA TOUR Champions. The winner of Big Break x Good Good will earn an exemption into the PGA TOUR’s Good Good Championship in November 2026.

THE PERSONALITIES
Big Break Dominican Republic winner, former LPGA Tour pro and Golf Channel personality Blair O’Neal will serve as host of Big Break x Good Good. O’Neal competed twice on Big Break, also earning runner-up honors in Big Break Prince Edward Island.

Members of Good Good Golf will compete and be featured throughout Big Break x Good Good. Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh will be two of the 12 competitors on Big Break x Good Good, Matt Scharff will co-host the season alongside Blair O’Neal, and Garrett Clark and Bubbie Broders will serve as non-playing team captains. Having amassed more than 4 million YouTube subscribers across their various channels since launching in 2020, Good Good Golf has galvanized a global audience through digital-first storytelling and high-energy competition, transforming how fans connect with the sport.

“Bringing back Big Break in partnership with Good Good Golf is as good as it gets,” said Tom Knapp, EVP and General Manager, Golf Channel. “Big Break is a Golf Channel institution which defined golf reality entertainment for 23 seasons. Good Good Golf is creating today’s version of golf entertainment and has redefined what ‘reality’ content really is. These two golf content brands will be a very powerful combination.”

THE SETTING
Nestled along the gleaming shores of the constant-level Lake LBJ and just outside of Austin, Texas, Horseshoe Bay Resort continues to be named among America’s premier golf and leisure destinations. With four acclaimed championship golf courses and the innovative Whitewater Putting Course, the resort offers an appealing array of unforgettable golfing experiences designed by World Golf Hall of Fame members Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jack Nicklaus.

Before there was ever a Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, Horseshoe Bay Resort was home to three very distinct courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The Ram Rock course, constructed in 1981, has made its reputation as one of the toughest courses in Texas. Slick Rock, the first golf course built (in 1971) at the resort, features a classic parkland setting and is home of the “Million-Dollar Hole”, No. 14, which famously features a waterfall-lined bridge that connects the teeing ground to fairway. The final course and renovation project, Apple Rock, offers some of the most picturesque views and water-lined holes in the region. Jones Sr. strategically routed holes to take advantage of the many higher-elevation vantage points that overlook the constant-level Lake LBJ.

In June, Horseshoe Bay Resort’s award-winning Apple Rock Course hosted the Good Good Lonestar Shootout, a live 12-hole golf event contested by the stars from Good Good Golf and professional football legends Matt Ryan, Joe Haden, Matt Leinart, Patrick Peterson, Jamaal Charles, and Golden Tate. It was broadcast live on Good Good’s YouTube channel and Golf Channel.

“We couldn’t think of a more exciting production to bring to Horseshoe Bay Resort and to show off the extraordinary Texas Hill Country beauty of our award-winning golf courses,” said Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Director of Golf Operations Anthony Holder. “Good Good Golf and Golf Channel are poised to break new ground and bridge generations of golf lovers with their unique brand of entertainment. We can’t wait for the world to see what this season of Big Break x Good Good has in store.”
