ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The No. 14/19 Pepperdine men’s golf team is tied for fourth after Saturday’s second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, held at the par-72, 6,993-yard Golf Club of Georgia course.
Senior Brady Siravo surged 22 spots on the second day with his 4-under 68. His bogey-free round propelled him into seventh place, which helped Pepperdine stay in the top five. Mahanth Chirravuri is in third after his 1-under 71 second round, giving him a two-round total of 7-under 137. The Waves are tied with USC with a two-round score of 8-under 568.
Virginia, the nation’s top team, leads the way with a 17-under 559, while Duke (16-under 560) and Charlotte (10-under 566) round out the top three.
PLAYER SCORES
Senior Mahanth Chirravuri is 3rd with a two-round score of 137 (-7). Chirravuri had three birdies, including two on the front nine, on Saturday. He is the lone Wave to record two below-par rounds in this tournament.
Fellow senior Brady Siravo is tied for 7th with a two-round score of 140 (-4). Siravo’s bogey-free second round featured two birdies and an eagle on a par-5 No. 18 to vault him 22 places on Saturday.
Sophomore Luke Bailey maintained his top-30 position and is tied for 27th with a two-round score of 145 (+1).
Junior Willy Walsh is tied for 55th with a two-round score of 149 (+5).
Sophomore Byungho Lee is 65th with a two-round score of (+8).
