I have in my hot little hands uh Amazon basics golf ball. These bad doggies were $14 for a dozen on well Amazon. And we’re going to test them versus uh $54 per dozen Titleless Prov1s to see if these are even worth $1 a dozen. Let’s first cut one open and see if the if it’s even like spherical inside. Here we go. We’ll try to do it kind of right on the line so that everything is perfect. There it is. Want it right in the middle. No shenanigans here. This is a twopiece golf ball construction. And uh looking at this, other than the rust from my tool, my cutter, from my perspective, it looks close. But I don’t know. One of the things I think they’re saving money on is the packaging. It just comes like this is how it arrived in the mail right here. Is it with a label? That’s it there. And then voila, you’re good. So, I think packaging does save you something. And then it just comes in this little white box. Amazon basics. That’s as basic as you can get. No marketing, no anything. We believe these balls are made in a Chinese factory. It’s the best we can do with our research. No guarantees with that, but we think that’s what’s where these are being produced. So, there you go. I just shut my eyes and see what the difference. All right. Shake it up. Don’t know which is which. I I know I have a Prov1 in one hand and the Amazon in the other. So, let’s see if we can tell with my eyes shut. Okay, this would be the Prov1. I’m right. Yeah. Okay. So, you can tell it’s a little harder. It’s not as soft cover. If you’re using $14 per dozen golf balls, do they have enough performance to satisfy you? So, we’re going to test it hitting wedges and drivers. It’s all we need to know. Do I get good spin feel with the wedge? Does it go far enough with the driver? Let’s get to it. We have our foresight monitor here. Quad max. Here we go. We’re all set up. 50°ree gap wedge here. Prov1 golf ball. We’re really looking for spin numbers. Spin numbers and distance. I mean, really just spin numbers. 8450 total spin. Look at that. Hit the green. Stopping power. I mean, do we need to go any further with that one? You know, that is a great shot. 8,000 spin. Even better. Go in. And how far are these going? We’re 112. I love that number with the 50. Perfect. Just one more. Get a good look at what’s happening. Fantastic. 82. We know the spin numbers for Titalist Prov1 with a 50° wedge. We’re looking at 8,200. That’s kind of the average. We had 84, we had an 8,000, and we had 82. Let’s call it 82. Easy to ballpark that guy. Amazon basics golf ball. Here we go with a wedge. How high did that last one go? Let’s just peak height. 27 yards. 90 ft. That’s just under 90 ft. Here we go. Amazon basics two-piece cover golf ball. 50°ree wedge. I’m a little nervous to be honest with you. That felt really good. That felt really good. Soft. Look how far that went. Went farther. And I got 8103 spin. How high did that go? Same exact height. 27 yards in the air. Inter. Wow. That felt soft. That’s It’s a fluke. I believe it’s a fluke. Pretty good. Nice and high. Does it stop? Not quite as fast. I didn’t hit it as crispy. Went a little bit lower. And 113 car. Nice carry. Okay. I kind of just kind of drop kicked it a little. Didn’t hit it great. 7430 spin. So it dropped down, but that was me. I believe I hit that one really well. Less spin. 7875 spin. So not as much stopping power there. I wonder if But it carries one. It’s going farther. The same height though. That’s kind of interesting to me. See one more wedge and see what happens. Oh, I hit that really clean. Nice tight draw. 8,000 spin. Look how far it goes. That one stopped little bit. 26 yards in the air. 8,000. So, we’re getting about 8,000 spin. You know what I think we need to look at real quick? I think we would be dropping the ball if we didn’t I just thought it was going to be quick. We’re going to look at the wedge. We’re going to look at driver. We’ll be done. But we’re going to hit a lot of mid irons, too. So, seven iron here. We’ll just hit a couple with the Prov1 and just see where Amazon Basics stacks up when you go a little bit longer iron because I’m I’m intrigued. I’m intrigued enough to a to add to the experiment here because it did so well on the wedge that I’m a little confused. I hit that really well. I hit it in the trees. I got to move my green. 6374 spin with that. I had to move the green. It’s too close. I hit it in the trees. Nice seven iron there. I like that. Smooth. 52. Nice draw. So, we’re going to get more distance. Really hit that far. This is the Prov1. 5100 backspin there. Oh, that’s a shot I love right there. Okay. 5799 total spin. Pretty straight ball flight. We carried it 164 yards. Backspin was 5700. That’s my normal 7iron and we’re going 32 peak height, 32 yards. Let’s hit the basics because I’m curious now to see if as we step up in swing speed and ball speed, that ball speed was 116. Let’s see what we get here with Amazon golf ball. 110. I hit it off the toe a little bit. 5500 spin. Carried 150. All right. I didn’t hit it great. I hit that really well. Carried 169. It’s going farther. Are these balls legal? less spin, 5,000 spin, and uh 33 yards peak height. So, it’s going high and far. 169 carry. It sounds different. It sounds It sounds springier like a spong like spongy springy like one of those bouncy balls. That’s kind of what it sounds like. It almost sounds hollow. It’s got a strange sound, but I’m getting 114 ball speed there. Less spin, 90, but it’s going high. So, it’s going high with less spin. I’m curious. Does that mean with the driver, we’re going to go even higher with low spin? That would be ridiculous cuz that would be the optimal thing for a a long drive. It’s going high. 90 ft in the air. I mean, look how high that’s going. 5245 spin. That’s pretty good. 116 ball speed. Like 94 96 ft in the air. It’s almost 100 ft in the air. My descent angle is 46, which is really good. 167 carry. So, all right. It’s passing the tests. It just sounds weird and it’s got a interesting feel. Moving on. Let’s see where our drivers at currently. No hating on the swing speed. I was out surfing this morning, so I’m a little sore, but um waves were big, so I got beat up pretty good, too. So, I’m a little I’m not quite in California surfing shape for sixfooters at Blacks Beach, in case you’re wondering where I was today. So, 6 to 8 foot at Blacks. I could beat you up. Here we go. What was my spin? 23 backspin. Not bad. See, I hit this kind of low bullet. That’s pretty good. Let’s do one more. That’s about 2,000 spin. That’s pretty good. And uh I’ll try to unleash one best I can right now. I swung pretty hard. Didn’t hit great, but that’s that’s good. That’s kind of where we’re at today. 2500 spin. Little more spin on that one. right side of the fairway, let’s say. And not bad. 143 balls. My ball speed low today. Told you this is interesting. So far, the ball is performing better than I thought. It sounds and feels a little different. So, that’s just something I’m not used to. Let’s see. Let’s see what happens here. Less spin. Interesting. I hit that about the same as I was hitting. 273 total distance right there. Same ball speed as the Pro V1. All right, little guy. Oh, see I hit that one high. That’s Yeah. Watch this. Here’s what’s crazy. That went really high. And the same ball speed I was doing before. Same. But look at the spin. 1570 and it went 38 yd in height. So it carried 263. That’s what I was wondering. If you hit it well, will it go incredibly high? I mean, that’s a that’s almost 120 ft in the air. Wow. That’s like a Rory Mroy height. Okay. Tried to swing out of my shoes there. Didn’t work. That one’s on me. It’s a bad swing, but we still got 268 total distance. No spin 60. Okay, I want All right, let’s just go regular regularness and see see what happens right here. What did that guy do? So, mis hit is still going high. I like that. Nice draw. No spin. Draw. No spin. All right. Normal fairway finder shot. Here we go. 20. I’ll tell you, when you miss it, right, like that high slicer, I’m not getting too much spin. It’s only 2206. So, that’s not bad. Even though it’s going really high, so the height will get you. Let’s say in the wind, the height’s going to hurt you, but let’s say you can’t get the ball up in the air. This might be a good option for you. Nice high draw 261 carry. This is kind of the one I wanted to check out. I mean, that’s almost three. That’s 288 total distance. 90 almost 100 feet in the air. Low backspin. So to hit it that high with that little spin to me is kind of crazy. So what do you think? Is this Amazon Basics your next golf ball? A two-piece ball that performs pretty good. And for $14 a dozen, I mean, it’s a little more than a buck a ball. I’ll take that. Especially Especially if you lose a bunch. Try it out. Can’t hurt. I’ll leave a link in the video description. Love you guys. Good luck. See you soon.

  1. Would you consider doing a video playing a round with golf balls from the driving range? I hit my best shots w range balls. 😂I don’t understand buying expensive golf ball’s

  2. Just bought top flite 4 dozen pkg from Dicks for $45 . Comes to $ 11.25 dz. Won’t feel bad if I loose these. New subscriber. 👍⛳️

  3. Why is a 2 piece ball being compared to a 3 piece ball? Let’s compare apples to apples. Those are 2 different classes of balls.

  4. Best info I've seen / gleaned is they are coming out of the same factory as PXG and Kirkland (Costco) Supposedly / rumored PXG put pressure on the factory to improve the product and when they did. Kirkland also benefited. For a buck a ball…I'll give em a try!

  5. If someone printed a Titleist label on these and charged two bucks a ball the golf influencers would be raving about them.

  6. Did you enjoy the nude part of blacks beach? 😅 The waves there are crazy though. I usually still went to Torrey pines because it was just easier to get to for me

  7. If we’re all being honest…a lot golfers are not going to benefit from a ball that costs much more then what these Amazon balls go for. A lot of guys don’t play much more than once a week. They’re not “working the ball” on shots or noticing the feel of the ball and how much it’s spinning or not. These are a good deal. And there’s other deals out there just as good. And they’ll all do the same thing for a lot of golfers.

  8. I think I will wait from buying these Amazon balls. I am sure I will find a few while looking for my way word shot in the ruff. Then I will try it out.

  9. The Kirkland Ball is $17.50 per dozen (2 dozen for $35 online with shipping, might be cheaper at the store). It would be interesting to have a Kirkland vs Amazon comparison.
