With just three tournaments left in the 2025 schedule after this week at the Bank of Utah Championship, every shot and every FedExCup point counts even more than usual. The field is chock-full of proven winners, up-and-coming stars and more as they take on the unique Black Desert Resort, which was cut through a lava field. Alex Noren is the top-ranked golfer teeing it up in Utah. The Swede won twice this summer on the DP World Tour and finished tied for 27th in Japan after joining Luke Donald’s leadership squad as a vice captain for the winning European Team at the Ryder Cup. Matt McCarty will defend his title in Utah after his breakthrough TOUR title a year ago. McCarty’s best finish of the season was a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and comes into his title defense off a T14 in Japan, where he shot an incredible final-round 60 – which featured a run of eight birdies in a row. Joining them are other star players such as Australia’s Jason Day, Aldrich Potgieter, and Billy Horschel.

box at three and Grayson Sig who is one under so far today. He sits well outside that top 100 number at 146 this one. Yeah, beauty a good looking shot here though trying to chase up that leaderboard. Already one under on his round today. Oh, Grayson Sah is 100% painfree tells me which you’ll just love to hear this two just right of it pin high controls the spin good shot there is now just set in here beautifully and Wiseoff was a great architect rest in peace Tom Wiseoff he was a legend J Hey, yeah, hasn’t been super sharp with the irons. Wasn’t on the range either. Seemed like he was working through something, but he is dialing it in like you said. And after a few missed opportunities on the first few holes, fortunate to avoid one there. We’ll check back in. Pot gater for birdie at 13. Big swinging left to rider here up the slope. All about speed control. He bangs this one in. What a beautiful putt there. Really to third we go. Second shot for Jeremy Paul. Kind of puts that leading edge down into the ground. And what a shot there. Judge that just perfectly at it. And uh this is what they’ve come up with. But boy, it’s happened quickly and certainly effective so far. We watch one of the very best pitchers of the golf ball on the planet hit a shot off the tea. Trying to bank something into that hill and kill it just a little bit. Best chip we’ve seen so far from that little colle. The key to these shots is giving yourself room left. Give yourself plenty of room. That’s exactly what he’s done. This is exactly how you play the golf shot golf hole. Beautiful. That was executed nearly over to the third we go. Little bonus golf for you. Harrison Indicott get in there. Yes, sir. So, Indicott to a couple under. Certainly, he can tighten the game up. We’ll continue to watch that. But a ton of talent. The Irons are the best part of this guy’s game. Ryan Gerard. Yeah, he’s going flag hunting. No doubt. There you go. Perfect for Gerard. Getting better. Looks like it may have been dropped back just a bit. Back to Gerard putting for birdie here at 16. Beautiful speed. How about that? Got his first win on tour earlier this year at the Barracuda Championship. Back to the 18th. Second for Ryan Gerard on the par five. Trying to get after it. Lot of space up there. That’s how you play it. How about that, Gerard? Almost a kick in coming up for Eagle. And that’s an eight iron for these guys. Good looking shot here, I believe. All right, they have it surrounded at the third. just really like takes a picture in his brain before he ever hits this. Typically plays the high lines nicely. How about this pub? Another long range birdie for Jason Day. That is five today and he is three under. Back to Ryan Gerard putting for birdie to get to four under within one of the lead. Oh, and what a putt from just off the green downhill. It feels like he back to potterer with his second and six. Oh, on a beautiful line and really really well judged. Leaving that just below the hole. That was a here this week would go a long way to do that. This is Paul Peterson and he rolls in a birdie at 17 to move to five under par. So good looking golf swing. Turning a little left, a little too far left maybe. left. Oh, got a nice roll. Will and it’s right on the back edge of the green. He’ll have Yes. For Spinson just to get it to six under. Little downhill. Starts it out to the right pulling left. And that was a beautiful putt there. He’s playing some really nice golf today. The focus that you need on this shot for Thagala. He’s kind of chunked a little left, but gets a real friendly hop. Nearly neck and neck. 338 for him. That’s a beautiful drive. This one trying to fade back towards the whole location. What a shot here from 236 yards. Sets himself up for an eagle look. Yeah, right side of the box. player who likes to work it from left to right. Our tracing technology provided by Trackman. Oh wow, what a shot there. Let’s show you the land here once again for Norin. Just eyeing that cup. Got it to land really softly, too. It relevant. Relevant with the champs, right? No doubt about it. Second for Homa. Norin putting for birdie here at five. I mean, put a stop clock on this guy. I love the pace of play for Alex Noran. How about that birdie putt? The confidence continues. This is where the best in the world shine. Beautiful. So players have to be aware, but this is slightly back up the hill. This for birdie to get to two under par. You bet. Birdie picking up where he left off last year. He seemed to make everything on these greens and he looked very comfortable out here early in this first round. And now Billy Horchel’s second. Two over so far. Little bit of a hanging lie for Horell here at the six. Doesn’t bother him one bit. Three par fives on this golf course. Frankie Sappin coming in with his third. Forced to lay up. Guy of his length. Got to take advantage of it. And he certainly will with that beautiful approach. Frankie Sappin pepper in the pin there. I’m going to say seven iron 200 y needs the right bounce and the right bit of check. Oh, this is brilliant. Oh, that’s two shots as good as you can hit on the par five. Fabulous. David Sport, another PGA Tour U number one for birdies. His last five holes. He’s at three under par. His final hole of the day. Athletic young player. It’s amazing watching talent come out of this PGA Tour U and how much success they’re having so so early. College is really preparing them a lot different and you go out the opening nine is 36 come home in 35 Kaya at 12. So you can tie one in there just got to get it over that little ridge there and that is a kick in birdie. It’s going to leave Kiamyama and Norin quite a ways back at the par five. There’s that little trapper up and over. A little slow. Collecting down. I think he’s going to collect right in the middle. What a chip. Taylor Moore needs a few more of those to go down. You can see he’s just right on the bubble from one fast putt to another. This one’s straight downhill. Chris Ventura. Yeah. Cash from deep. Approach shot for Brennan. Middle right hole location. Ball hanging on him a little bit. Going to hard to going to be hard to keep it over on that right side of the green or not. He’s been dialed in with his iron play. This is just a standard little pitch here. He’s going to try to bump something and get it to chase back towards this whole location. Pretty good shot right there because it wasn’t unplayable. Third shot for back at seven. He’s got plenty of green to work with her up the slope. Touch. That was classy by. Yeah. Forced the layup here. 134. Back under the breeze. Good looking line. The whole location is just on that front portion. It’s amazing. This hole was just getting eaten up. Everybody pushing driver. Similar spot from where we saw Sah the Gala earlier. A little bit of a double breaker. It moves and then it moves back exactly like that. Baby, great read there coming off. That’s pretty darn good spin control right there. Yeah. Playing some some factor on some of these shorter holes. Horchel buckets. Bunch of one putts for Billy Horchel. Back in Tumi Kaya on the 14th. 113th in the FedEx Cup standings coming into the week. Now projected 116th. That’ll help. Kevin Strman at four under this for birdie on seven to get to five. Just nobody making it from back here. Until Kevin Strman. Wow. Firm left edge. Well, that’s a nice turnaround that coming off that three putt on the eighth. He made a great par out of the out of the lava on nine and bam. Once again, clocking in at the 17th. Couple over par. Luke Clanton so far. Love how quickly he gets through impact. Body turns beautifully through the ball. And look at these two shots. Austin Cook on the ninth, his third. Just so hard to control the spin. But now he’s going to be putting back up the hill assuming it stops there. Uphill slightly right to left. Really good spot to putt from nice catch by the hole. He’s at five under par. headed over to the backside. Cool. Saw off finish playing back into the wind trying to control that ball from spinning back. What a birdie. Catching some edges of some holes. They’re lipping in for him. Not lipping out. It’s what it takes to be 600 through 10. This struggling today at three over on 16. Oh well, look what we found here. It’s the kind of golf course, George, like Taylor Montgomery was six over through seven holes. If you are spraying your driver, this place can make you look silly, but if you’re Doug Gim on the box at the 15th. No, lucky. Sound like it was a little bit out to the right. Oh, get lucky. Wow. Doug Gim to pay this off on 15. He needs a big week. Currently projected 124th in the FedEx standings. Looking to do here with this T-OT. Oh yeah. Covering all the way up there on that right side. Easy kick. Easy. Easy. Oh, that would be too cruel. Billy Ray stop for Eagle. Oh, sneaks it in. Well, the roller coaster continues for Billy Horsel today. We’ve got we’ve got doubles, we’ve got quads, we’ve got birdies, and we’ve got eagles. He’s got to be what fuels Alex no in this stage of his career to try and get that first win on the PGA Tour. Something Max Home has been able to do six times. And this is looking on a great line. Look at the bounce back from that double quickly. A nice bounce back here. Wow, that really breaks a lot. Well, he won’t get both strokes back, but is able to pick up a birdie here. 14 and move to two under. Yeah. Shot you love to watch, but you don’t like to play. The 40yd bunker shot back into the fan. Unless you’re Kurt Kittyama, then you like to play it. When you hit such an epic bunker shot like that or a pitch shot from a tough lie, just hate to waste it. So, Billy Horchel coming off the eagle at 14 on the tee at the par 315. Swings looking good. Nice balance finish there for Horchel and another good result at 15. Thanks, Tom. About the biggest risers and fallers as Horchel putts for birdie. How about this fight back as you said from Billy Horchel? It’s incredible. We talked about it. The attitude that he was able to maintain and obviously you know McNeel’s second just a good solid iron player throughout his career. Go in promoting the draw. He’s leaning like it’s well right. It’s a pretty friendly hop, though. I looked at it. Looks like it’s just barely right to left. How about that? Big call. Second for Homa on the way. Really good shot there for Max Hom. Well timed to something good to see for him as he ends this round. And Max Holman, it looks like Lisa has decided not to hit his eagle putt. He’s going to come out in the morning and attempt that puck before starting his second round. Interesting decision. Yeah, very interesting. But um he didn’t like the look of it and I guess when you get that opportunity, you want to make the most of it. I’m I’m very surprised. Well, a lot of guys didn’t finish, but at the moment, we have four at the top of the leaderboard at six under par here as play has been suspended in the first Round.

  1. Hold up…I just saw a guy dusting off the green with a towel and I KNOW that a few years back a guy got penalized for doing the same thing with his glove that he wasn't wearing. Did the rules change?

  2. Please tell me this isn’t the commentary that we are going to be consistently listening to going forward this season?? Please someone tell me that it isn’t it 😂😢🥴

  3. Really peculiar editing – we get to see half of Horschel and Homa's rounds even though they are outside the top 80

  4. As late as 14:38 we see a leaderboard that does not include Thorbornsen. He ends the round in the lead and they show us none of it.
It is a crime how little effort goes into this channel's highlights. This kind of editing is EVERY VIDEO. It is, without a doubt, one of the worst channels on youtube.
We also heard the announcer say Horschel had a quadruple bogey. Did we get to see what happened? Of course not. We watched twenty-two 8 foot putts from middle of the pack guys instead.

  5. Not really interested in the PGA since the Ryder Cup and the disgraceful performance by them… but just wanted to make the comment before I left the video and won’t be back!
