ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Looking to win the event for the third time in four years, the Navy women’s golf team wraps up its fall season this weekend with the Lehigh Invitational at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
Playing at the par-72, 6,153-yard course, the Midshipmen and other 15 schools will kick off the 36-hole tournament on Saturday with an 11 a.m. shotgun start, while the second round on Sunday is also slated for an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

In addition to tournament host and Patriot League rival Lehigh, the Mids will see competition from Duquesne, Fairfield, FDU, La Salle, Merrimack, Monmouth, New Haven, Old Dominion, Penn, Providence, Rutgers, Saint Francis, Saint Joseph’s and Stonehill.

Last Time Out
Entering two squads into its home tournament, Navy took fourth and ninth place at the Navy Fall Invitational earlier in October … Playing at the par-72, 6,084-yard USNA Golf Club, the Mids saw their “A” team recover to climb its way into fourth-place finish at 43-over par 619 while the Mids’ “B” team placed ninth with a weekend total of 64-over par 640 … The lone Navy “A” golfer in the leaderboard’s top-10 was freshman Angelina Kim at 8-over par 152 and tied for eighth place … Finishing two strokes behind Kim and tying for 11th on the leaderboard, junior Emma Tang finished at 10-over par 154 … Pacing the “B” team was sophomore Megan Kirkpatrick, who garnered a weekend total of 13-over par 157 and took a share of 27th place.
Navy at the Lehigh Invitational
Up until this season, the Lehigh Invitational was previously played at the Saucon Valley Country Club’s Grace Course in Bethlehem, Pa. … The Mids claimed first place in the 2024 edition of the event with a weekend total of 38-over par 614, paced by individual runner-up Megan Kirkpatrick at 8-over par 152 and three other Mids finishing in the top-10 as well … In Navy’s second-most recent trip to the Lehigh Invitational in 2022, the Mids claimed the team title with a then-program-record score of 18-over par 594, while Mara Hirtle finished tied for first place with a then-program record of 1-under par 143 before losing the individual medal on a fifth playoff hole … Navy also placed second in the 2021 iteration of the weather-shortened one-round tournament, took third in 2018, placed fifth in 2015 and 2016 and finished ninth in 2013.
