Hey guys, welcome back to Modern Golf. Hope you’re having a great day and even better week. Today we’re getting a sneak peek, a brand new, I mean a 2026 golf bag that is literally launching today. This is the Sun Mountain C130 Hybrid. I think this is the golf bag that probably 95% of America and really the world would fit them better than what they’re currently using. Stay tuned so we go over all the specs of this amazing new golf bag from Sun Mountain. So, Sun Mountain for decades. Uh really, I would say in the last three or four years have really kind of put their stamp on the higherend golf bags, right? We we all had the 4.5s, the 3.5s, the 14-way top. A lot of innovations gone with what Sun Mountain has done. This is no exception. This is one of the coolest golf bags we have tested in a very very long time. Uh if you’re watching this in October, it is literally launching uh within the day that you’re seeing this or not far uh before. This is the bag that I would say 95% of the world would probably love to use because of all the features it has, the functionality, the form, all that good stuff. So, this colorway uh is Yes, you guys can see navy, black, army green, right in my wheelhouse. Absolutely love it. Is a stand bag. So, it is a hybrid. It is the hybrid of hybrids of golf bags. And I will get into all the specs and why I think it’s I’m telling you, one of the best golf bags we have reviewed in a very, very long time. Let’s talk about the belly first. And I’m going to talk about a couple things that I think it again every time I do something with Sun Mountain, it just I’m more and more impressed every time we test one of their products. It is been such a fun evolution uh with testing their golf bags because every time I get a new one, it’s like, “Wow, this is so cool. I’ve never seen this before. Wow, this is great. I love this.” So, let’s talk about a couple things. First, um let’s talk about this VLOO section here. Um, this is a very high dense rubber. And what this is made for, a number of things, but pull cart, uh, electric power cart. This absorbs a lot of the, um, let’s say bouncing. It also is very grippy, so it doesn’t fall off. Uh, and if you see this in person, you’ll know what I mean. But very cool. It has these matte finish aluminum legs and these orange accent feet, uh, or these orange accent feet, which are super cool. Um, and you can’t see it on here, but I’ll take pictures. There are also Sun Mountain logos uh on the side of these legs. There is a lockout as you guys can see. Uh, I’ve used this a number of times, so it has a little bit of wear and tear. Um, no tough guard here. I would have liked to seen a tough guard here to be very fair. Uh, if I’m going to be a critical reviewer, that’s what I would say. It does have one of my favorite things in golf. Uh, and that’s the umbrella sleeve that literally goes through and it just kind of hangs off this bag. I love it. You guys know I’ve been very true to that. Uh, going forward. So, the umbrella would go through here, slip through here, and away you go. As we flip this guy around, as we flip this guy around, we has a couple neat little things. Uh, this towel holder or rangefinder holder or clip um is made of plastic, but it’s a very cool shape. I really enjoyed this. There is, and just to kind of go over this because you guys will ask, there is a pass through for your cart um that goes through here and then we’ll get into this as well. But so number of pockets on this guy, I’m going to try to get to all of them. This is the main large one. On the inside, it’s orange, which I like. I wish they would have done a little orange on the inside, but it’s fine. Um nothing overly uh frilly about this pocket besides it’s super big, as you guys can see. I’m going expand this out. So, an amazing apparel pocket or towels or what have you. There is this kind of it looks like to be reinforced with carbon fiber orange valuables pocket. It’s huge. It’s literally like this size. Um, so phenomenal for your phone or rangefinders or what have you. Just a great pocket. Again, some logoing on here. Nothing to write home about. There is a little uh glove thing here. I don’t know what these little pull tabs are for to be fair. Um, I will ask and see if I can get an answer before I launch this. I don’t know if they’re to put to do finger exercises or to lock things onto. Um, maybe it’s to put your rangefinder as well. I really don’t know. I haven’t really bothered with them. I thought it was a cool look regardless. Um, has a very wilderness kind of look. It has something I also have never seen before. Has a pen holder and a pencil holder. Um, so if you carry both, uh, which probably some of you do, uh, it has that as well. So, let’s get into this top because this is probably where I think this bag is I won’t say worth its weight and gold, but my guy Steve, you guys know he loves 48 golf clubs in a golf bag. This has a 15-way top, right? So, we go 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 and 15. That is that. I love this this rubber lined uh putter pocket. I absolutely love Let’s see if I can take one of my putters here. I’ll just show you. We’ll take our DF3 just to show you. And this is why I love it because it gets it up and out of the way so your putter is not in your way the whole day. But really, really like that. So, has this material, this it’s a meshy engineered kind of mesh um nylon polyester material, which I like. It’s soft. We originally saw this on the H2 no a few years ago, a couple years ago. Um, I like how they color coordinate. This is like a it may be black, but it almost looks like a dark gray and again has the rubber. Uh, great places for handles and again this material that we talked about, which I am absolutely loving. So, one thing it doesn’t have because it’s a hybrid like that top cuff handle, right? So, it doesn’t have that. It also has one of the most unique straps I’ve ever seen. It’s like a dual strap combined. So, there’s only one strap, but you can see the touch where the attachment points are here. Um, it’s very unique. It’s been great for me. I have loved uh using this. Sun Mountain, I think, to me sets the standard with these rubber handles. Just really good. Um, very easy, very soft. Again, this golf bag is for the guy who rides occasionally, will use a pull cart occasionally, and goes to the driving range, right? This is not I mean, could you walk with this bag? Sure, of course. That’s the whole point of a hybrid. But this is more for the guy who’s using some type of cart but also wants a stand because they don’t want an unbalanced bag. To be fair, and I’m going to be very honest and candid with you guys, I’m blown away in how many times I see we’re in a parking lot and somebody’s bag tips over in the parking lot cart back. So, like if you’re that guy, this is the ideal bag. I don’t know. I know I review a ton of cart bags. like this to me is the almost the perfect bag because it does a little bit of everything of what you’d probably want. So anyway, let’s get into this. So it has we’ll roll this over here. Uh a grippy material underneath here. Also has this little pull tab material. So this is your rangefinder pocket. Again, valuable lined. You don’t have to use it for rangefinder. You can use it for whatever you want. Um but that’s what they’re showing there. This is also, you can see the little ice on here. Uh a cooler pocket. And this cooler is literally the size of this. So, it is absolutely huge. I mean, I’ll just throw my water bottle in here to show you. And I could probably legitimately fit. Three, four, maybe five. Um, really huge again. So, kind of does it all. Large ball pocket here. That wasn’t my pants that ripped. It was just the Velcro here. Um, if we roll this around, it does undo Velcro. See, it’s not my pants. Um, does come off if you want to get your name on here, your social security, uh, or what have you. does zip around like that. It also has what I love this tough guard material underneath here. Uh just kind of the same polyester material, plastic material around the bag. And again, it’s a little scratched up. Um and this is why I commend S um Sun Mount when they do their bags. Rubber material here like this is rubber. Would like to see a little rubber material here, but again, love the logo. It’s just just a great bag. We flip this guy around. So, this is why it’s a true hybrid because what you would have here is a hip pad. You have no hip pad here, right? So, could you walk with this 100%. Would I suggest it? Probably not. Um, again, we’ll get into the size and weight. I’ll put all the information up here. It’s right around 36 in tall. I’ll put all the weight and stuff and pricing as well, but has the same little Velcro material here. Same cart pass through here. So, this is why it’s the hybrid because you can use this on any side, right? Where a lot of bags you can’t use it on both. you can only use it on one. This you can do either side with your card trap, which I think is great. Again, same kind of pockets in here. This is where your rain hood goes. Um, again, a ton of storage. You guys can see if I could show you how wide that is. Huge. So, if you’re a guy that, again, we talked about, you know, you’re a cart guy, but you’re like, man, I hate carrying this stupid bag. Um, I want something that’s a little more mobile. I can put legs on it. This is to me a home run for you. Again, same valuables material here, but this one has what we talked about before, a little thing for your key. So, I love this. Uh, I should use this in all my bags. I do for some. Um, but I really like this because I lose my keys really almost after every round. So, this isn’t valuable lines, just nylon. But again, very good for what it is for your keys. And again, we talk about this large valuable pocket there. So, do I think this bag is perfect? I think it’s a great golf bag. What do I think it’s missing? I don’t know if I’d say it’s missing much. Maybe water bottle pockets here again. And they have it where you have the pen loops again on both sides. You have a huge water bottle thing in the middle so you really don’t miss out. I think this bag is a home run. Uh when we got it, I was really surprised, really happy with again when we when we got it, I was testing it. I was been really surprised. Um and for those who are going to ask before I get too far, there are reservoirs uh for the moisture for that. So, what I was saying was when I first got it, I was really kind of shocked and some of the changes that Sun Mountain has done with this bag over some of their other hybrid bags. Again, their C series is probably their most popular besides their I guess their walking bags. But to me, if you’re a guy that’s kind of on the fringe of saying like, hey, I I use a cart bag, but man, it sucks going to the range. I got to stand this thing up. I don’t even know really why I’m using this big ass cart bag. This is a great answer. Um, I really have enjoyed this golf bag and again some very cool points um that I think it’s makes it one of the best golf bags going certainly in the 26. Uh, but again, if you’re interested in looking at it, I believe they’re out today or they will be out very shortly. Again, this is the C130 hybrid uh in their VLOO series. We love it. Uh it’s going to be it just missed us testing it uh to be in our best golf bag list, but again one of the best golf bags we’ve seen in a long time. And Sun Mountain continues to put out incredible product time after time after time.
