There might not be a player on the planet who picks their tea up faster than an inform Matt Fitzpatrick. And this was the best I’ve seen him swing it since Brooklyn. And how good he must feel. So he was completely off the RDER Cup radar just a few months ago. Lost in the abyss, his swing coach of 15 years. Uh was stuck at home, is stuck at home, dealing with a a really difficult personal matter. Then came a link up with Mark Blackburn and a and a really rapid uptick in performance. But for all of his personal success, won the US Open. The RDER Cup record was a malignant tumor on his resume. He wasn’t just poor, he was historically bad coming into this week with a horrible one and seven record and Luke Donald placed serious faith putting him out first or in the first session in forsomes Friday morning alongside Lud Vgoberg and he delivered a masterclass gaining over four strokes overall in essentially half a round. He was by far the best player in the session kept it up throughout the week and and he’ll be disappointed not to have closed out Bryson Dambo. He was up five, up through seven, but that comeback was more a result of Bryson’s great play than Fitz blowing it. So Fitz went 2-1 and one this week and he just played fantastic. And here’s a guy who probably wishes that the golf season weren’t over. And I know Matt personally and I know how much the RDER Cup stuff weighed on him. I mean, I think one of the lowest moments of his career was 2021. He was playing in the last singles match against Daniel Burgerer. The Europeans were trying to avoid the worst blowout in Ryder Cup history and they’re all square going to 18. He hits one right down the middle and he legitimately hits 6 in behind the ball and dumps it into the water and they lose. And I remember watching Py Harrington and and Roy Moy kind of put their arms around him as he was walking up and he was so distraught after that week because again we know how much the RDER Cup means to all of these guys and and he had you know put cake all over he embarrassed himself and uh and he was really really good this week. He was really good this week. He played his ass off all week even though he didn’t win all of his sessions like we talked about. There’s vagaries of match play. It depends who you’re going against. Bryson caught fire, made like four or five birdies in a row. Uh he’s our dog of the week because he came into this week, Allan talked about how he was the one with the most pressure. There were some people who thought, “Oh, should he be on the team?” He should have been on the team and he played his butt off all week. So, shout out to Fitzy. He is our dog of the

Absolutely great take. Seriously underrated this last week.
Good to see fitzy do well. Good lad, huge competitor and data freak. Would have made an excellent accountant.
I may be wrong, but I think If Morikawa had this record this week, US wins.
Beautiful swing
Dog of the week blew a 5up lead 😂
Got my sub.. I watched your clips throughout the Ryder cup and I got to say you have a true talent for understanding and explaining what was truly happening out there on the course and giving agreeable and good analytical observations on not only the players but to how hard Bethpage was for each of the players… ngl I was upset that America lost again this year but it was a solid run especially on the last day my gawd it would’ve made a great story if the Americans were able to close it out in our favor 🤦♂️ but continue what your doing buddy won’t be long until the following really picks up 🙏 amazing commentating 🔥
Golf season isn’t over dumbass
Season isn't over.
Golf season isn’t over ?
It was such a shame that bryson came back the way he did. Fitzy did really well to hang on considering how well bryson was playing down the stretch
