So we bought a house (small one at that, certainly not a bragging post) BUT the one thing it did have was a nice detached garage for my woodworking… I decided to build a partition walls and make an entertainment/golf sim area since we have basically no living room or place to hang out with people when we have them over.
So it is an "L" shaped area. The dimensions of the golf sim area would be 16 x 33 essentially (18 ft tucked in the designated area but could use any of the remaining 15 feet that goes past the walled in portion if needed as well). Only thing I have right now is the 10×13 screen. Don't have anything else. Will have to buy a little at a time as funds can be accrued
MY QUESTION, I don't really know what the best use of the space is. Are there things you are glad you did/wish you could do differently? For everyone with a golf sim space would you:
-prefer the mevo plus over square golf if you had the room.
– have a high top table to stand/sit at to have a drink or something while waiting for your turn or would you get couches? (I feel like getting up and down out of the couch in between shots would almost be annoying?)
-How far back should seating be from the hitting spot to be comfortably far away/safe
– put tvs on the wall you are facing when you hit or put them on a different wall
-Do people really use putting holes in their area?
-What are good short throw monitors (or maybe I don't need short throw) with a 12 ft high ceiling
Any and all ideas would be cool. I don't have much of a budget for this so I'm going to go with mevo plus or square golf probably. Don't know if is I need a PC or if it can run off my macbookWould really appreciate any advice or tips.
Also don't mind the hole in the wall, that is for my chop saw can move back and forth. Figure it can move in that one foot area behind where the impact screen will be and nobody will notice. (I will cover it so it doesn't show through).
