I’m going to show you how I took this golfer via a online skill lesson. If you want a one-to-one lesson with me, my skill link is down below. From this to this, as well as from this position to this position using one stroke, two tips, but one leads to the other that I reckon this golfer wish he knew with his driver swing way earlier because we have transformed this. This was in three to five days this player changed this much. So the ball structure at the top, poor wrist angles, and then the thrusting forwards, dropping down, and then sometimes recovering, hitting target, sometimes hooking, sometimes huge blocks. This is what we’re trying to fix. And we pretty much have the simple drill I use to give this player some structure. And it works for all kinds of directions. It doesn’t just have to be when this player’s too far behind. Set yourself up to your shot with a driver. Take trail hand off. Then with your palm pointing towards target, just place it on the lead side, the front side of the club with the palm towards target. Now, as you make your back swing, try and just feel that you keep your palm of your trail hand back of your lead hand. So, you’re getting your hands to get in some better structure. So, you’re literally putting force on the back side of the grip or the front side of the grip. From here, it kind of feels like the back side as it gets behind you. And you’re just pushing that club back. So this player had a feeling of laying off and pushing that club back which in turn helped with wrist angles but at the same time it really helped with that structure at the top of their back swing. When they start crossing their wrist they really feel it. If they start bowing their handle they really or the lead wrist they really feel this trail wrist kind of getting contorted out of position. This is a great way to feel some structure in the back swing and what it does on so many levels. So just look at the structure of the trail arm. And what it does by doing is if I put the hand on this side, it’s very easy to let the arm go this way. Hand comes back, which can get some certainly some confusion in structure as the club goes back. It actually allows the golfer to get the arm more this way where it’s turned out this part leaving forward. The hand sneaks under just pulling that back. And this is where golf lessons are so much fun because it’s like a domino effect. Now the golfer was starting to get in much better structured position on the back swing. Making this move now on the way down and the club dropping way behind club trying to hook over just made no sense from the new position they were in. I mean it would just wouldn’t hit the ball. So we had to just sneak this slight second uh feeling in. And you can do this with driver and iron once he had the structure on the way back which is a combination of him doing it and the drill on the down swing. If you just take your first finger and thumb just below your belt and just above your belt, I want him to crunch that on the way down. So feel like that gap gets small in the start of the down swing, which basically pushes his butt back, chest over the ball a bit more, which then contributed to that second win we got where he was able to get the club into this much better structured position on the way down, which was definitely leading for some straighter pass. Straighter club pass will allow for better club face control as well because they’re so interlin. If the club is dropping back here, people naturally start manipulating the face because they want to hit target. Where if you can get golfers on a more neutral path, they generally have a bit more control of the face. Good structure on the way back, little crunch on the way down. You could see the change we made in a tiny time. And this player starting to hit some of the best drives of their life. Simple drills, real life student fixes. Hit my skittus link down below.
