Is this the nicest high school golf program in the entire world? IMG Academy, where student athletes spend half the day in school and the other half in training, depending on their sport, is home to its own massive golf facility with a two-sided driving range, multiple chipping greens and putting greens. And not only that, but an entire 18hole golf course where the high school athletes can practice. What percentage of swing should I be given this right now? Everything you’ve got. Everything. Okay. Should we tell him he’s in play right now? There we go. Okay, let’s do it high speed. Oh, I hit it before I even saw it. You almost hit me. I’m going to have to put this somewhere else. One of the wildest things about this program is that they don’t just have a head golf coach. They also have a chipping coach, a driving coach, a putting coach, and their own mental coaches to make sure each student athlete has the best chance at a D1 opportunity. We spent half a day at the school to see what it’s like being on the golf team here. What percent of practice do you spend training your mental performance? 0%. Oh yeah, that’s tough on us. I think it’s a lot of self-deprecation. Sometimes if I like need to cool off a little, I’ll just snap my club in half. Helps me out. It’s safe to say that if me and Adam went here, we probably wouldn’t still be 10 handicaps.
