LITTLE ROCK – Two of the nation’s best golf coaches will be staying in the Capital City for the foreseeable future.
Trojan women’s head coach Jenna Birch and men’s head coach Austin Eoff have both signed contract extensions, keeping the future of Trojan Golf in strong hands.
Director of Athletics Frank M. Cuervo made the announcement Wednesday praising the duo for the way they have elevated the programs and put Little Rock Golf on the map.
“I am thrilled that Jenna and Austin will continue to lead our golf programs as Little Rock enters a new era next season in the United Athletic Conference,” Cuervo said. “They exhibit great passion, leadership, dedication and are outstanding leaders who embody the vision and values of Trojan Athletics. I have full confidence in their ability to guide our student-athletes to championship-caliber success. Just as importantly, they continue to be exceptional mentors off the course, shaping young people into leaders for life beyond golf. Their relentless drive, competitive spirit, and deep commitment to developing our student-athletes make them the perfect leaders for Little Rock Golf.”
Birch Building Success
Birch is entering her seventh season and has already taken the women’s program to historic heights. In 2024, the Trojans captured the OVC Championship and punched their ticket to the program’s first-ever NCAA Regional.
“I’m extremely thankful for the support of Chancellor Christina Drale and Director of Athletics Frank Cuervo,” Birch said. “Little Rock has become home for me, and everything we’ve built since 2019 makes the future extremely exciting.”
The Trojans’ resume under Birch includes:
OVC Champions (2024)
OVC Coach of the Year honors (2024)
Anna Dawson – OVC Player of the Year & Tournament MVP (2024)
Eleonore Aernouts – OVC Freshman of the Year (2024)
Multiple All-OVC, All-Tournament, and All-Newcomer selections
“I cannot express my gratitude enough for the support my team and I receive from the Trojan family,” Birch added. “We’re just getting started.”
Eoff’s Fast Impact
On the men’s side, Eoff has wasted no time. The Benton native has guided the Trojans to back-to-back standout seasons, including a 2025 OVC Championship, an NCAA Regional appearance, and a top-55 national ranking – one of the best in program history.
“I am thrilled to continue leading the men’s golf program at Little Rock,” Eoff said. “We made great strides last season, and the progress we’ve seen has only fueled our hunger for more. We’re ready to build on that momentum and take another big step forward this year.”
