Albert Smiley here at nine played beautifully at Sonom Libertesh in the French Open. Oh, pretty handy way to finish things off for his day. He’ll sign for a round of 67 which is four under on this past 71 this week. awkward throat. Gone long at the first out of that sort of tangly wiry grasp which you mentioned. Played it beautifully. Oh, that’s more than okay. Oh, I see what you did there. Very good, Anthony. Excellent stuff. Running at 119 on the stim meter. It’s quick for a Thursday morning. It is very, isn’t it? Howong Lee was over there somewhere. The ball emerged. So to this man so far today, Hatong Lee. Yeah, one in Katar early in the year. So enjoying his 2025 season and can put well well another one footage of putts. That’s why he was in the last group at the Open Championship. He’ll just go straight at the flag here. They have actually antied. I’m not quite sure why. There you go. Nice start. They moved this tea up 44 yds. I’m not quite sure why they’ve done that. Ball well above his feet here for Howong Lee at the ninth. His final hole. He’s had a bit of trouble off the tea. So, hence he’s got this distance left for his third. Oh, it’s just his day, isn’t it? Tong Lee finishes the day 65. No bogeies on the card. Alley Kim at the third. He’s at one under. Go on. Go on. Go on. Yay. He’s at two under. Nicely done. Two under through the first three for Kim. Three letters there. See, I’m not bad with that either. Yeah, he did. Yeah, he was aggressive coming in. It was nice to watch. Armitage Lon had a good week last week in in the India. Nice chip. Nice chip. There you go. He can do it all. Strong player, Richard. I think he looks very good. Bit of an iffy start, but he might just get it back here at the third. Go on. In you go. Yes, nicely done. Two under for Marcel through the first six holes. Nicely done from the German. Here’s Larry Caner at six. Ball on the way. Good angle as well. And a very fancy result. Nearly perfect. Just a low spin and check and run for Caner. Now him in the first cut. Nice lie. We get some beautiful lies around here just off the beaten track. Oh, beauty. Can almost Well, I think he can pick that one up. It’s not strictly allowed, is it? But I I don’t think he’ll miss it. Was looking at it last week. It’s a similar purse to uh to last week at the DP World India Championship. same amount of points and the most I could see someone shift on the race dub by as we see Marcus Armitage from just off the green here at nine was six places in the downward direction that’s downward and finally someone’s hold it from the back of the ninth green right to left Kim just gone over the back of this uh 10th green get him he does like a little chip in doesn’t he Yeah that’s two now isn’t he I thought it might just Sorry. I thought he might just use the fringe just that little bit but actually flighted it all the way up past the fringe and got it to spin on the down slope. But this one up the hill will break off his right little gentle tear this little bowl area in this green. Oh, look at Johnny. He can still read these putts. Fantastic. My eyes are everywhere, but they’re still working. Eyes are everywhere here at 13. 13, I think, for a Maloozi. I can’t believe how many shots we’re seeing going today. Maloozi two on the spin there. That’ll do nicely coming out of the bunker on that par three. should start moving towards the waters and the front of the green. So, a little bit of right to left in this one. Changed his putting grip over the last couple of tournaments. Felt like this just takes that right hand out of play. He felt like it was just doing a bit too much movement. Oh, it’s got some pace on it. Hit it. Yes. Well done. That’s four on the spin for Armitage. I tell you what, just as well the hole got in the way. It was a love wedge coming back if it missed. A little bit of an ups slope. He can get the club cleanly on the back of the ball. Only 118. He’ll be taking dead aim. Good angle. Yeah, good shot. Takes advantage of that angle as Jay Townsen mentions. Water down the left. So, anything up that right side is just fine. down the hill. Fourth, a three. Never missing Caner. And there’s another birdie. No drop shots as yet. That’s a lovely shot from He swings it brilliantly. I’ve watched him hit some shots out. That’s a ball like it just not going his way at the moment. He’s leveled part. Tricky shots are going high. Taking all the slopes out of play. Beautifully played. It’s a couple 191 this place the flag today. Oh, lovely shot there from Caner. who looks very in control at the moment. Blemish free. Four birdies, maybe five. Yeah, I agree with you. Nice two there from Caner. I remember saying to McNelte once in Ireland, I said, “Cool.” I said, “You hold some parts, Mark, don’t you?” He said, “There’s nothing in the rule book that says you can’t 131 left to the pin here for Kim. He’s at five under par. Oh, that might get to 600. If he does, he’ll get a lot a lot. Come on, spit it out, Richard. Alongside Haong Lee Kim for birdie that moves to minus six. What you did there? That was good stuff. Back to back. Birdies. Yeah, seven of them. He’s had in all. Alex Fitzpatrick. Chance for a birdie to double his total. Yeah, it does feel like a chance up the hill. Right to left for Fitzpatrick. Go on. On you go. Bingo. RT Lee for his birdie. Randy. Yeah. Well done. Back to plus one. Oh, it was a bonus, wasn’t it? Back back to back bogeies off a coming off a double bogey at the 11th. That’s quite handy. It’s mid 14. The fairway found. That’s the secret this week. Keep control of your golf ball. Brilliant. Third shot for Caner here. Can’t see the bottom of the flag stick. Oh, what a shot, Lori. Beautiful shot. Not going to give him that, Richard. Yeah, I think but all in all in all truth, it is so hard to pick a winner. I think Radar did it last week with Fleetwood and India again. Another dark horse, but it’s it’s so difficult to pick a winner cuz they all can do it. They can all win. Oh, great shot by Kim. Have that to finish alongside Howong Lee at six under par with a round of 65. Birdie P for Kim here to get alongside Howong Lee. Yeah, well done. He got up alongside him, dropped a shot and then got it back again at the last hole. 65 You can have that four under. Throw back to 17. Nakajima wouldn’t mind seeing a couple more drop after a day where many have stayed up. Yeah, pace is good. Line’s good as well. There’s another one. Make it up for those few three or four footers. He has missed. Four birdies in a in a round. One to go. It’s four of par fortunately. P up home in 33 67 for Lori Caner. Nice start. Having a good year. 14th he is on the race to Dubai. Projected to go to 12 if he stayed where he is. But there’ll be a lot of twoing and throwing over the next few days. That’s how it looks. They’re all done on the front page of the leaderboard. It’s how Tong Lee and Minq Kim that lead at this stage. Round one of the Genesis Championship. Howong bogey free 65 to start your week here in Korea. Describe your day out there for us. Yeah, very pleased to finish like this and especially the couple up and downs from the last four holes are um very important to kind of keep the momentum. Describe the the course out there this week. Very undulating and the greens as well. I know a few of the players have been tricking up a little bit on the greens. talk about it out there. Yeah, the green is very tricky and fast and you have to put yourself in a right position and um also off the tea as well. So, um I think off the tea I’ve been doing quite well until last couple of holes. Um I think that’s a key for the week. What about it’s a little bit hotter today out there. You were telling me beforehand you wear extra thick pants today. I I am sweating right now and I want to go get a change as soon as possible. um your sixth out of 10 for your PJ tour card for next year. There’s players keeping their cards this week for 115. You got a few more weeks left. How much is that on your mind this week and the next few weeks to come? It’s definitely just need a focus on my game. I know that point list is being tightened and tight tighter. Um just trying to play my game and keep the position and hopefully have a some good good result coming up. Howong great start to the week. Good luck tomorrow. Thank you. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.
