HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The PGA Tour announced the Sentry Tournament of Champions will not be played at all next year.

It comes a month after the tour announced that the tournament would not be held on Maui at the Kapalua Plantation Course in 2026 due to ongoing drought conditions.

The Tour said it assessed alternate venues for the Sentry in Hawaii and beyond, but decided to cancel the event due to logistical challenges, including shipping deadlines, tournament infrastructure, and vendor support.

The Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in January will serve as the opening event of the 2026 Tour Season.
