Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast!

Jack Nicklaus once said that when he wanted to hit it farther, he actually swung slower!

I love that old saying — “slow is smooth, smooth is fast.”

A lot of long drivers today try to speed up the backswing to load their muscles to the max, but that can cost you accuracy and rhythm.

Instead, try a slow, wide backswing that lets your body coil naturally and your timing stay intact. You’ll be amazed how effortlessly the club accelerates through impact — and how far the ball flies.

Sometimes, slowing down is the fastest way to more distance.

  1. i notice your left knee going to the right on your back swing like hogan. i trying to fiture out your triangle but its too fast . how still are your artms

  2. It's not often when you see Hogan 2.whoa amidst the proletariat who struggle so much. Maybe his swing vibes will infect others around him so they too can become as pure as the white driven snow.

  3. Christo,

Silly question so bear with me please. In the past, namely around the time that Nike had the Vapor driver with the neon green graphic, you mentioned that some "modern woods" didn't suit your fancy so you opted for more classic clubs. Now I see you're swinging the QI35. Have you kinda pulled a Tiger and adapted to the performance of the new technology? Or have you grown to "like" the look of modern clubs? Or both?

Great swing, love your channel. Keep doing what you do brother.
