All right, lads. We’re back again. We’re playing the backside of the 1 v one v1 against Wesley Bryan and George Bryan. Currently one under par. Y four under par, 6 under parad heading into the backside. This is a great day. Mary’sville Golf Club. It’s been fantastic. I’ve enjoyed the company, but we’re coming on the back side and we’ll see who ends up shooting the low one. Could be me, could be George, could be Wesley. You guys sit. I don’t It could get I’m ready. And another thing you guys need to keep in mind, the course record is minus 11. You do the math. He does the same thing on the front as the back. Jason Day will go down in the history books of Mary’sville Golf Club as the course record holder. Yeah, I’m just saying. Big Jason, take us away. All right, par three. I got a six iron, 20 yards. Feels like uh back into the breeze a little bit, so got to step on it a little bit. Oh, Jison. It’s not going to reach. Is that a putt over there? There’s something over there. I don’t know. But I mean, what that gives is me hope. What do you mean? Well, I don’t know. I just feel like I’ve had seen you hit one bad shot. I know. I can I’ll chip that in. Let’s chip it in. See, that’s the difference. You know what I’m thinking? Like hopefully it’ll make you got five iron. Five iron in hand. Going little baby cut. I’ll take that. I’ll take that. Pressure packed. I feel like I’ I need to make up some strokes. This feels like a good opportunity for that. Get after Jason early on. And boy, everyone’s writing me off right now. I see it. I mean, I’ve written myself off a few times today, too. changes now. Let’s go. Oh, you guys have come out strong. I mean, it’s it’s not like Oh, wow. You’re not going to be super impressed by it, but that that’s a statement. We’re on the backside and we’re here with Wesley and George. We’re all playing some steady steady great golf. Yours has been great. George’s has been average. I just missed the green. Just like these car paths, they’ve been average. That is true. The car pass, but the fairways, the greens have been phenomenal. So, I must admit, well, yeah, we’re going to have to go up on this side slow. That’s okay. Good luck. I mean, that that’s dangerous. Oh, boy. Now we’re sliding. We’re sliding. Wow. Okay. Uh, so what we do on our channel at times is we go out and we review some very poorly reviewed Yeah. golf courses. And usually they’re substantially better than what the reviews say. Just like this place. It’s like the fairways, the greens, the like it’s been great. So, what would you give it a rating so far? If we’re going to go solely on car paths, we’ve Yeah. Mary’sville is a one out of five. But this course has been, in my opinion, I’m giving it a four or five at least, cuz I mean, the greens are good. It’s fun. The people out here are amazing. The vibe’s great. Um, it’s a it’s a out of five, three, three or four star because you got to throw value in there. It’s an unbelievable value. The greens are absolutely mint. Yep. And it’s it’s fun. It’s been a good fun relaxed vibe. Car paths have been pretty poor, but I wouldn’t give it a one-star review like on a car path. I mean, come on. You can just miss the car path. But, um, yeah, overall the greens are nice. There’s like nice coverage on them. Don’t need to be over overly fast with them because of how much pitch they have. It’s been fun though, right? Been great. Jason, I don’t want to like I don’t want to get too confident here, but I am I hit a much better shot than you on the hole. Yeah. Reward get reward for I have to like cuz like he’s beating me by five today. Oh no. And it could be by seven. So like good, aren’t you? Not playing bad. And so like I need to take these little d. Yeah, right. How good my world? He doesn’t even give shots. He comes out and beats me by five. All right, Talon. pin high, right? Six iron was the club, but uh I got to get this up on the green and uh you know, kind of wrap it around a little right to left. Um so just give it enough speed and it should be solid. He just doesn’t The guy doesn’t miss. How is your speed control so good with everything? Chips, putts, drives, 3-woods. You hit the threewood perfectly pin high on that hole. Yeah. Oh, tap, boys. Oh, I love that. Well, it’s easy to tap from a foot, though. I did have my one my what, 20 seconds of uh being able to rub it in and say I hit a better shot than Jason, but he chips it to a foot quickly. Well, I’m hoping that we finish with the same score, though. Do what he does. He does eight feet. You’ll see. Oh, no. Oh boy. See, I I deserve everything that’s come my way. You You’ve You’ve gone to the pocket. Are you going to tap, George? Are you going to stay on brand or the pocket? Nope. You had full control of this hole. I did. And see, that’s that’s why I don’t That’s why I don’t smack talk right there. I don’t do a great job backing up. This is to get one back. Get within one of Jay. I get all excited and amped. These greens are nice. Yeah. Hey, nothing but side lip. Hey. Hey. Hey. I again up. I deserved all of that. I went I went bar I went barking up a tree. But you know what? I’m not taking it back cuz I did hit a better shot than you and you tied the hole. That was great, man. Hey, we’re still bogey free, right? Hey, we are. God, that didn’t deserve to go in. How are you feeling right now, Wesley? I’m feeling great. Um, golf game feels like it’s in a good spot. It doesn’t feel like it’s as good as yours right now, so I’m going to have to dig deep. Um, I think the back line here is funky, though. Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. I’m going to have to rely on some gimmicks probably to to compete, which we can. We can do that. What do we got here? So we got 350 yata. It’s it is straight away too. Kind of blind T-shot. Yeah. But to to finish the thought on us going to these what what you would say like your average golf courses or below average golf courses in the area is to tell a story that just like you growing up like the golf course didn’t matter. The course you grow grew up on didn’t matter. It was all about my friends. You fell in love with the game because of who you were doing it with and being outside and like the challenge of it. not perfect fairways, perfectly manicured cart paths and tea boxes that were level and green that roll speed. Yeah, I mean, like I said, I grew up on a 12-hole golf course. Um, that’s kind of where I naturally started my my game and then kind of blossom from there and I’ve been on many many different types of golf courses from the best in the world to some of the worst. So, you know, it’s it’s it’s all about just getting out here and enjoying the the time that you have with people and it’s been fun so far. And we wanted to throw you out of your comfort zone because you you live obviously here in Columbus and you’ve never played here, right? Where do you play? I’ve been over here before. You play double eagle and mirror field and and the the the golf club, country club or whatever. And you just don’t venture to these parts. And so we wanted to get you out of your comfort zone in hopes to beat you. Turns out that’s going poorly. We still got eight holes left. So driver, just straight out the pen. Give it a rip. This is a hole in one. Goodness gracious. How mad would Cam be at me? 350. Do we have 350? Jason does. Or at least 2015 Jason does. 2015 Jason Day does definitely. But not not that. Not that. So, this kind of kicks off what a lot of people have been asking for a lot of years, like playing with a lot of professional golfers. Gotcha. Um, and so we just haven’t really had the time, nor have we like had it like schedules work out. Yeah. Uh we’ve obviously been filming a lot with Grant um over the last year with the major cuts and that kind of cuts into a lot of the travel stuff. So this year the season two major cuts winding down. We’re going to go and and see just how many professional golfers we can take down. Do you are you confident? No, but I know we’re going to beat some of them for sure. Wow. 54 seems a little egregious here, but chipped in with a 54 once today. So like I know Mike should probably should be a lob wedge, but I’ve chipped in once with 54. So that’s where we’re going to go. Huh, George. That’s a well played shot. Shot, George. Hey, come on, Talon. Get your car off the geo fence. I’m I moved mine. I don’t have the greatest lie compared to He’s got a phenomenal lie. I’m a little bit bare underneath mine. There’s just too much uh bare stuff to make it like prop up, but uh I got a uh 21footer, say about down the hill, left or right. So, we’ll try and hold that one. Stay ahead of Wesley. Oh, I didn’t hit it down the hill. That was a lag. Unfortunate. Okay. All right. Dang. I should have got that up and down. Look at Wesley over there smiling and stuff. I mean, maybe if you’d picked the right shot, you would have gotten it up and down. Wesley, I don’t want to hear it from you right now. Can’t be phased. Can’t be phased by the uh GoPro. All I can say is I’m smiling too cuz I mean that’s the first time in seven no in eight holes I’ve picked up a stroke on Jason. So So Jason, yeah, the way I’m looking at this grass, the way it’s growing back in and it’s for like obviously you see if you would have hit like something low and it doesn’t get up the hill. So, one, you’re still working back up the hill and that’s fine, but you’re more than likely going to be like dealing with a left right bad kick more than likely. Yeah. So, it’s going to be like left to right problems, which from here you would agree that short to long are going to be the problems when you open up the club face off. Short and long is the real problem. So, if you eliminate, I thought that I could get it on to at least 10 to 15 ft. Or if not, that’d be my worst. Obviously, hit it worse than that, but then I just let my putting take over kind. That’s fair. Man, that’s fair. You know, it’s just these small small victories that keep get me going and it gives me a little bit of a little bit of hope. I’m only four down. I don’t think that’s a small victory. That’s a big victory. I know. Like momentum is just and you can tell he’s a little it’s his channel, so he’s starting to like get a little little tense, like nervous in front of the lads. Wesley’s being annoying. He’s chirping a little bit. Um, which again, that version of Wesley is the best because it’s like annoying to compete against, but it’s fun to watch him. I mean, he’s going to chirp to Jason Day, the guy that’s like, you know, and it’s like he doesn’t care. He had to hit a good chip shot after he was just talking about Jason chip shot. Yeah. But he also he’ll say the same thing to a lesser like a five handicap and talk junk. So it’s he doesn’t I love it. Yeah. So good. But this is a big hole. Uh par five this. Hey. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Par five. But a dog legs mad. Uh give me mad. How much mad? Like mad right to left. I mean, this is a it’s angry. Is this driver actually a bad decision? Bad hole. I honestly think it is. Huh? I think it’s a bad decision, driver, but I’m Yeah. No. Well, it is a bad decision, but it’s fine to make bad decisions on bad holes. I’m going to try and make Well, you’re hybrid. Yeah. I I don’t know where to hit it. I bet Steve Gangliff knows where to hit it here, but I’m going to go hybrid. Just uh Yeah. 282 through. I mean, that’s probably I mean, hopefully It’ll be tell me how far I kind of need. Well, that should be good. Theoretically, hear me out. All that is is a fair is a golf hole left. How far is that going to leave you? Uh, I can get to the green and two from there. Brucey, should I hit driver and just set it? I don’t. Okay. Got driver going to uh launch it. You think it’s over that left that left of that electrical box, right? Yeah. Oh, definitely. I think it’s splitting those OB stakes. Okay. The only thing is if it kicks firm that could be out of bounds. No, that’s it. No. No. I think that’s it. It hits soft. I got to commit to this. Just pick it. This got to I got to commit to this just over that tree, huh? I mean, how bad do you want this course record? Well, I didn’t do I didn’t do a great job of freaking trying to get up and down last hole. That’s just a bad decision every round. Do you make a bad decision every round you play? Try not to in retrospect, but Yeah. No, you do. You play plenty of bad decisions. Yeah. Turn over a little. And again, like that’s why I’m saying I think if I were to caddy for you or I could caddy for you. Sit. Sit. Georgie boy. You’re all right. That’s fine. It’s all like I I know what your strengths are just like anybody would probably be able to with a golf brain would be able to caddy for you. But I like I know what your strengths are. I I know what shots you like. Y and I have a general idea of how far you hit your clubs. Yeah. And if anybody just understands golf course and where the proper misses are and where like especially the harder the golf course gets. The hard thing about catting also is getting the right communication with your player cuz he could be saying something right or suggesting something that in his mind he’s completely like thinking of it a certain way and then you he’ll you as a caddy could communicate that across differently and then that could confuse the player as well. And so an example would be, hey, I want you to aim it uh three or four steps right of this hole. Or he could the same thing would be don’t go left. So that’s a communication thing. You’re saying the same thing. Yeah. But definitely there there there are times and again for me there’s even times where I like the don’t go left over aim to the right because I have with certain clubs certain winds I have like swings that I can make. It gets a drop on that. Yeah. There’s swings that I can make that are like they just won’t ever go left. So for me, if I was if I’m working with Brucey and I don’t want him suggesting a shot or like he’ll be standing in there and he’s like if he can if like let’s just hypothetically he goes in there and like when and I can cut something around onto the green or I’m like I’m thinking laying up. If he goes in there and acts like he can cut around oh I’m like okay that means I can do it. You know what I mean? which is probably not the place. So, um there is a time to like you have to be very very smart in the way that you manage your way around a golf course professionally. Yeah. Playing right now, you’re having fun with your friends. Oh, yeah. Go for it. That’s why I was just so surprised you, you know, lay out here. It’s unbelievable. Well, you got 108 yards to 140 if you want to lay up. Uh I’ve got What do you got? Plus, you got firm conditions at the front. It’s going to bounce up regardless. I’m think I’m thinking this would be about where it would have ended up. Yeah. I believe that potentially that tree robbed us of a double eagle. I mean, I wouldn’t go that far, but there was a potential chance of it. You didn’t correct me and say albatross, which means you believe that it’s double eagle. Double eagle like the golf golf club. No, 200 par five. Yeah, double eagle like the golf club. It’s albatross. It doesn’t matter. Double eagle. Like, who cares? You’re you’re you’re raging some people right now. Really? Do people care? Oh, way more than I thought they ever did. So it’s like again I’m I’m a big small winds kind of guy. So the small winds again I was playing we played with Phil in the first DS and I hit it 30 yards by him and the one person you don’t in my opinion like watching all the person you don’t want to chirp is Phil like he’s so good and but I was like when am I going to get this opportunity again? I was like hey Phil what you like what are you doing back there man I made birdie and he was like it’s like I wanted to I wanted to I wanted to trip you but I couldn’t do it. It’s like man you should have done it. You just don’t I mean to be honest George you don’t know when you’re get this opportunity again. So you should have just just let me have it. I’m like dang it right. Yeah. And so again me how many times am I going to get to chirp someone like Jason or even Yeah. So I got to take advantage of my time. Oh yuck yuck. Sorry. I just would like to hit a little bit more pepper on it, but I’ll leave myself below the hole and got a three-footer for par. But what people watching that don’t understand is like that shot right there. It’s very easy for that one to go six total feet or 46 total feet. Like getting it in that range, very good. Keep the firm firm wrist through impact, Wesley. Firm wrist through impact. I don’t think I’ve ever done that with a chip shot. I’m just Maybe that’s why I struggle out of the rough, Talon. Wesley, he got away with it. Good shot there with it. Look at his f the disgust that he had for me to say that. The disrespect. To be fair, I’ve kind of been jawing him a little bit and I probably should cool down a little bit until the match gets a little closer, but it’s Jason. He’s an Well, he’s an easy target.
