McIlroy/Fleetwood vs Morikawa/English Extended Highlights | Friday Foursomes | 2025 Ryder Cup

Here it comes. the United States of [Music] [Applause] perfect for America. We just saw Fitzpatrick hit a beautiful wedge shot. Boy, just clip the grass there. Look in front of one, two, and spin. Where is it? There it is. See, he had to dig it out of there. Looks good. Looks very good. Great shot from Fleetwood. [Applause] Dead straight to win the hole. No practice stroke went straight in with a perfect one. Never in question. Maroy and Fleetwood go one up through one up to two. And Rory all above his feet here. to this right hand pin. He’s got to hold it off and challenge the right side. Maybe he did. [Applause] Hixy pixie there. And Bob McIntyre might need this for birdie with the US in close. And mistake the only thing that can separate them now back there at five. We return to three and English. There we go. High draw coming in this right at the fly. Beautiful shot for Birdie here after Harris’s great iron. Just hung out to the right. I think he loved the line and just didn’t go straight in. Bit like the P. Well done. Great for Mroy and they stay one up. Yeah, it looks like he’s aiming right. He’s got it right to the flag. He’s going to hit a high sweeping kind of draw in there. Looks like he’s pulled it off perfectly. Just short though. Wow. Boy, he was flag hunting there. Oricawa ch par five. Oh, he’s play. Oh, I checked. I thought that was going to release up. It’s okay, but remember the Europeans are plugged in the left bunker. trying to extricate them here. Done really well there. Not e from that stance. The ball’s up above you. That was a very difficult shot. Back to Maroy to win the fourth to go two up in the third match. USA up in two but one up and Europe two up and two Tommy not a great angle ball suddenly above his feet like Gri left not much a big advantage for Europe there they already two up Maroy for birdie and the win to go to three up Maroyy’s Oh, two nice putts already. [Music] Make it through. Had to delay the call as it dropped in the back edge. Third match now. Gero Rory starts holding P. He’s unbear treated to some amazing courses. quickly to Maroy. Just a short eye. This should be good. Certainly is. Another magnificent shot from Mroy. The only way 2025 could get any better would be with an away victory and a ride. A Morawa. This is for a birdie putt to tie the hole. Already three down. He misses this. I I think you can Yeah, I I I really do think that matches over to be honest with you. The strength of the team of Mroy and Fleetwood. No way you come from four down. A good angle to that left hole location. See, he can set up well left. He’s going to try and chop it out with a cut shot. Yeah, once again, wasn’t a great lie, but a good result from a poor lie. That’s why he was set up left coming down more abruptly. Two parts may win it as well. They’re already four up. That’s great speed. [Music] Excellent. Plays nine yards shorter than his distance. Massively downhill. Great line. Another fabulous shot. [Music] Looks a good line. [Music] That’s a good shot with nine holes to play. That’s with five birdies. Phenomenal play. Birdie putt for Maroy. He walks it in. Everything is just going Europe’s way. I mean, it is just an amazing effort from team Europe on this first morning. It’s not quite shades of Rome where they went 4 and0 in that opening foromes session. [Applause] That’s a fantastic shot there. going against his natural ball flight. You heard him talk to his Caddy saying he was just going to shut the face down a little bit. I think the wind also been off the right. Yeah, it’s brilliant. Brilliant again from Europe just keeping the foot down. So now this to win the hole for Harris English to eat into that five down deficit. It’s amazing match play. You would have you would have bet on the European team there where where the positions were on the on on the fairway. But back to match three which is down the 10th for we here for Harris English here. Aggressive start line playing a big draw in there to a right pin. That’s a great shot from there, J. I think he read the lie there perfectly. I think the ball was above his feet. Just be trying to knock it up close like that. Exactly like that. Wonderful. Great distance control. I think this needs to go in. Oh, he can’t leave it short. Four down. Good live at a poor angle into that back left hole location. [Applause] He’s been quite good from poor angles today. Col Morala littleed by the spin perhaps. You can see with the way he hits it, he was trying to hit it so high. Tommy’s not so great wedge shot. Let’s see if he can get the pace right. Look at Tommy getting in there quickly to get a read if he needed it. And he will need it, but you don’t get a read when puck is left short. Wrong line, wrong pace. Not sure if they lost their turn. Here’s a par for Morawa on this troublesome green. 11th green. It’s caused everyone trouble. [Applause] to tie the do at 11. Tommy Fleetwood, the FedEx Cup champ, and Mroy still four up. Such a difference between a four iron and eight iron and Rory Maroy. The ability to hit it up in the air and land it softly and and just a commercial shot. You don’t need to take the pin on. You know, he’s four up and your opponent’s in trouble. Rory Mroy here to go five up, which they do. There’s no looking back. Go for he and Tommy Fleetwood. Now, that’s that’s the best part of this is that you’re sort of you’re letting your child out, right? You’re just playing golf and you’re just in the moment so much. You’re not thinking about whether it’s Thursday or Friday, we got to save energy for Sunday. It’s like, no, right now is the only thing that matters. [Applause] He wanted to make sure he got it to the hole. Didn’t want to be short and it just jumped. 13 tie by Mroy there. 149 front pin. Little punchy non so good for Tommy when he was when that was in flight. It’s just went half a club long. Their fate might hang on the next putt. We’ll see. Back to 14. Morala. Watch. I’m sure they kind of down a little bit. Pench mark perfect distance and it just buried itself on the green. Mroy to win his match back at 14. [Music] Oh, good. Gosh, that was a great point. Yeah. Okay, Morawa for part and it goes. They’re going to see the next from Tommy Fleetwood, aren’t they? Relentless from the offset. It is another massive margin for Europe and they’re 3 and 0 together. Fleetwood Mac go five and four. To watch another Ryder Cup video, click here and subscribe here.
