A man was viciously attacked with a golf club following a dispute at a Staffordshire golf centre. The incident took place at the 3 Hammers Golf Complex in Old Stafford Road, Coven, in the south of the county on October 12.

The man is said to have been hit in the head with the club at around 6.15pm. It followed a fracas involving a group of three women and two men. The victim had to be taken to hospital after suffering from facial injuries.

Now Staffordshire Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a women in connection with the incident. The woman is white, with blonde hair and is pictured wearing a light grey hoodie.

In issuing the CCTV appeal, a Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Do you recognise this woman? We would like to speak to her after a man was hit in the face with a golf club in south Staffordshire recently.

“The assault took place at the Three Hammers Golf Centre on Old Stafford Road, in Cross Green, at around 6.15pm on Sunday 12 October. The victim was assaulted following an altercation with a group of three men and two women.

“He required hospital treatment for facial injuries following the assault.”

The statement continued: “Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the assault and are currently reviewing local CCTV footage.

“Anyone who recognises the woman pictured or who has any relevant information should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 631 of 14 October. To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
