The Colt Championship Links at County Sligo Golf Club has been announced as a finalist for the prestigious Ireland: Golf Course of the Year award, presented by the Golf Course Awards.

This recognition celebrates Irish golf courses offering the most exceptional overall experience, both on and off the course.

Finalists are selected for their excellence in design, conditioning, aesthetics, innovation, and accessibility. Following its win last year, County Sligo Golf Club welcomes fellow finalists Enniscrone, Royal Dublin, Mount Juliet Estate, and the Faldo Course at Lough Erne Resort into its company, further cementing the Rosses Point links as one of Ireland’s premier golfing destinations.

Being nominated for the second consecutive year for this award and winning in 2024 is a remarkable achievement and a reflection of the tireless dedication of everyone at County Sligo Golf Club.

From dedicated staff, supportive members, and the enthusiastic visitors, it is the collective effort of this community that creates a golfing experience worthy of such recognition.

Each day, attention to detail, professionalism, and passion come together to ensure that every round is exceptional.

Located on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, County Sligo Golf Club is renowned for its dramatic coastal setting, world-class design, and proud golfing tradition.

Designed by the legendary Harry Colt, the course is also home to the West of Ireland Championship, one of Ireland’s most historic and prestigious amateur tournaments, held annually each Easter since 1923.

This nomination not only honours the club’s ongoing commitment to excellence but also celebrates the teamwork, pride, and dedication that drive the ongoing success of the Colt Championship Links.

Winners of the Golf Course Awards will be announced later this year.
