Northwestern placed tied for 12th at the Stanford Intercollegiate over the weekend, with a combined finish of 19-over-par.

Freshman Arianna Lau led the Wildcats from round one, in which she shot a season-best 4-under-67. She finished one stroke below par over the course of three rounds to claim a share of 20th place.

Senior Dianna Lee ended the tournament shooting even-par in the final round and ultimately placed 53rd with a score of 7-over-220.

Not far behind was junior Ashley Yun, who tied for 60th, as well as sophomores Hsin Tai Lin and Megan Meng, both at 65th. Rounding out the squad, freshman Lauren Lee competed as an individual and placed tied for 80th.

West Coast schools dominated the team competition as tournament host Stanford claimed the championship with a comfortable 35-under. Oregon came second at 14-under and USC third at 10-under.

The ’Cats conclude their fall season at the East Lake Cup in Atlanta from Oct. 27-29.
