1UP Rahm/Straka vs. Spaun/Schauffele (8)
A familiar sight in this fourball: J.J. Spaun going first with his approach shot. He’s onto the green but has left more than 40 feet. Once again, Sepp Straka follows him and, like an uncle who’s had one drink too many at a wedding, he just sneaks onto the dance floor.
Jon Rahm, benefitting from that extra length off the tee, plonks it brilliantly in close to the left of the pin after helpfully spinning it back — he will stroll up there for a seven and a half-footer for birdie.
What has Xander Schauffeele got in response? Not a lot, in truth. His approach is to the back of the green while the pin is at the front in the centre.
Big chance for Rahm and Europe coming up.
