Kai Trump, the 18 year old granddaughter of US President Donald Trump and daughter of Donald Jr. and Vanessa Trump, has revealed how her grandfather attempted to bend the rules during a golf round they shared.
Despite their significant age difference, Kai shares her grandfather’s love for the sport – as she has showcased on her YouTube channel. Her public profile is soaring after delivering her first speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, as well as travelling with the President to watch the Ryder Cup last month.
With an expanding social media following, driven by her golf content, Kai is reportedly considering a professional golfing career. But recently, the teenager faced accusations of ‘stealing’ from NFL star Travis Kelce in a major controversy. She also caused controversy by posing in front of the White House to advertise her new sweaters.

Reflecting on the viral Break 50 Challenge video featuring her grandfather alongside golf star Bryson DeChambeau, which has accumulated 16 million views on YouTube, she remarked: “I watched half of it (the DeChambeau video) because I was working out.
“It was awesome. It was crazy. Genuinely, he always gives me a run for my money. It’s pretty close,” she disclosed, admitting that her grandfather typically emerges victorious.
“It’s never really like game over and I’ve won on the 15th hole. He wins a lot of the time. I do have to say that. I’ve got to get better.”

Kai shared a funny story from the golf course, describing how the former president tried to throw her off during a critical shot.
“One time I was not on his team and I had to make this eight-foot birdie putt to win and he’s trying to get in my head like standing right over me, standing next to me.”
Despite his tactics, she nailed the putt and celebrated with an enthusiastic fist pump, which brought a smile to his face even in defeat.
“I sunk it and l looked up and go like this (fist pumping) and he started smiling. That was the best moment.

“When I made that putt, even though he lost, he was so happy and smiling and laughing. That was a pretty special moment, too.”
Additionally, Kai remembered a touching moment with her grandfather after a frightening incident, saying, “I was going to say the RNC was pretty special for both of us because it was right after he got shot and I hadn’t seen him since then.”
The significance of their reunion amid the chaos left them both emotional. “It was like the world stopped. It was that type of feeling.”
She continued: “I was out with my friends actually. That was really special. We both got a bit teary-eyed. I’ll never forget that. It was nice to see him again and it was a really special moment. But on the golf course, there’s a lot. I play with him so often.”
